This ad and challenge was run in several car magazines. I would guess the year to be about 1965 give or take. This is some BIG LEAGUE SMACK!!!

CHET HERBERT’S CHALLENGE
TO BRING ON THE CHRYSLERS
WE ARE READY. ARE YOU, CHET? ARE YOU REALLY READY TO
RACE? IS THIS A BIG STUNT TO SELL MORE CHEVY CAMS?
The public is entitled to know whether the Chevy can meet the
Chrysler and boast about it. Three out of five grudge races to settle it once and for all. If the strip managers won’t promote it, we ask that each post $300 and winner take all. Stone -Woods-Cook demand that your Chevy (Finders-Altizer and Kibler) meet the legal requirements of the A/GS rules, namely 6 pounds per cubic inch and motor height in chassis to be at NHRA height requirement. Strip gas both cars and change after each run on
the line and weigh them both after each run. We will overlook all
other irregular conditions of your Chevy powered ALTERED car,
which has every reason to run in ALTERED class. Since your boys
have a reputation for numerous engine blow-ups and breakdowns, we will meet you right off the tow bar. The public is entitled to see at least one race before you blow. However, if you are afraid, you can have all the tune-up runs you want. WE WANT THAT CHEVY BAD! Will you show? When and where, Mr. Chet Herbert? Fontana has expressed interest. Can we hear from other strips about this race?
P.S. to Mr. Eskimo Cam Company, did your boy, George
Montgomery really refuse to race Pittman and SS parts in England?
Something about it not being in his contract. However he did pick on
several stock cars with his so -called no. 1 A/GASSER
SUPERCHARGED. Are you really proud of his COWARDLY ACT?
P.S. to K.S. Pittman and S&S Parts. How about a chunk of you guys. You are claiming all the records! Still jumping the starter against Stock Cars? We want you on a fair start, any strip, anytime. We resent the add that S&S Parts wrote about us in Eastern Drag News. Can you prove what you said, or do you want the spectators to pay just to see you jump the start in order to keep from seeing you losing on a fair start. Can we hear
from you? Hello, strip managers, are you interested?
P.S. to Big June and Tucker--when are you going to show up and race? We haven’t had a piece of you since Detroit. My Driver is hungry for a Bite! How about a chunk? All strip managers can we hear from you on any of these races? All requirements same as with Chet Herbert.
