PRO STREET Class Quick Glance Rules| Chassis | Any AFX or AW/JL Magnatraction/ X-traction (excludes all 4-gear chassis of any brand) | | Armature | Any factory arm including the mean green; 6.000 ohms min; no rewind/de-wind; balancing and polishing allowed. | | Motor Brushes | Any copper/carbon brush; conventional brush set-up only. | | Pick-Ups | Any available. No braids or shunts allowed. | | Motor Magnets | Any factory ceramic magnets. | | Traction Magnets | None allowed. Magnet must be removed from Ultra-G chassis. | | Gears | Any factory gears. | | Tires | Any black slip on. | | Wheels | Any proto-typical wheel. (Vincent, RRR, Stock) No derlin or aluminum. No double flange wheels allowed. | | Body | Any hard body performance type street car body allowed. Mounts may be modified to lower body. Are Dash magnets allowed in this class? What about sanding and/or shimming the magnets?

Are Dash magnets allowed in this class? What about sanding and/or shimming the magnets? Hey Slotwerx - Welcome to the site......... Guessing your asking about NTRA Pro Street....... x-traction class. Think the only magnets from Dash are t-jet size........ Dash are the strongest of this size magnet (ceramic)........ but not as strong as the x-traction/magnatraction magnets , which are also larger. Sanding is allowed for fitting of magnets - like Johnny Lightning mags into t-jets....... Shimming I believe is allowed for those classes which do not specifically dis-allow it in the rules........... not sure on p/str. .............. PC |
