Took some research to gather up these records. If anyone has done better on the Smoky mountain track in a particular class let me know as I could have missed something.

I have the Bear Creek track records recorded as well. I only acknowledge record runs during a formal competition, whether it is a proxy race or a local get together. They have to be backed up by a + or - 1% run as well. I need to update mine because I believe the PSO has been lowered after my last race. Thanks for posting Dave.

Some of the records go back to 2015 when I first got the timing system. Some were recently set at the last meet. Forgot about how quick the AFX unlimited was still running at 20v. Cannot match that today. Would be interesting to see some of your track records.

Just remember that these were the top times run in the different classes. As an example the unlimted inline record has stood for awhile. The same car can still hit 60 MPH and run in the .2s but it cannot currently match that time.

The 3 tracks we run on have record boards, Sandfly Alley, Mustang Alley and Moonshine park, these tracks are all plastic 2x 1/4 mile and 1x 1000 ft, the times between the two 1/4 mile tracks is close, some of the records set have never been equalled buy that car and some are on the money each week.

Just updated the T jet unlimted record which had recently been set earlier this year and I missed it when I checked. The old record was at least 3 years old. I noticed the AFX MPH record was identical which was a surprise.

I just updated the Smoky mountain track records to show car and chassis. I was surprised to see that the Super G+ & BSRT chassis held almost all the records for the inline classes with the exception of the Jag DR taking one. I think the DR will might give the G+ a run for its money in the future.

Added the 20 volt record to the AFX 6 ohm class since that is where I run most classes. The 57 Nomad defended its record at the higher voltage out of the box running one pass only. It will be put back in vacuum storage until the next event. The car in the other lane is also a 6 ohm AFX chassis. 57 Chevy, new record

I must say the most inconsistent cars are the pancakes. I have had them vary quite a bit from one day to another or even in the same event. The 57 shown above had fallen off a bit in performance recently so I finally did a tune up on it after at least a year + of not touching it. I was afraid to mess with it. After working on it with a new set of brushes and some cleaning etc. it is running better than ever. It is the quickest and fastest car of that type car I have. Don't know what makes it run like it does as I have done the same things to other chassis like it with different results.

we have found most pancakes like brand new brushes for an improvement in time, but wont last long, I think it has a lot to do with brush pressure as the new brushes will be longer but not by much. Yip its a hard choice to pull your best car apart and retune it, most times it goes the other way. will be racing this week end at Kiwi Daves, will be a blast.

I have surely had them take a turn for the worse when I have taken them apart. Looking forward to racing with you at Daves event, good luck at the race.
