I really like the "Gasser" class. However, I am partial to the old Fiat Topolino cars. They were originally used in AA/FA class, I think. Help me out here Foamy Being HO, I have no idea what chassis to use. Any ideas? When is the next Gasser class? Who sells the bodies for it? Thanks, Charley

Hey Charley,we use Tjets for gassers and if you go the Class rules page you can find out all what you can do as far as Mods go,alot of the hopups are very cheap less than $10 and you can get those tjets to fly.the one guy i knew who built alot of cool gasser bodies him and his brother like disappeared off the face of the planet.but Anyway there are som links on here tro where you might be able to find gasser bodies, willys,Henry j's,and stuff,Road race replicas.also might carry some gasser bodies,Willys truck, willys coupe, willys panel Van,and they have the Angila's,and they carry alot of bodies and very very cool wheels and tires, juts google search (road race replicas)But that would be a great start.they eve nsell Tjets chassis and everything for them.

Charley, I'll be holding a Gasser event in early 2011. I'll have a T&T in January with the final event scheduled in February (Dates to be determined). The Topolino will not be legal in Gasser but are legal in Altered. I think I still have some castings of a Topo that I'll send you if you want to send me yor address. Here are the Gasser rules. Note that these rules cover Gasser, Altered and BB/FC for NTRA proxy racing. www.nitroslots.com/index.cgi?board=cccc&action=display&thread=1647

Well. looks like I will be entering a second car. The boys here at Lonestar Racing have actually managed to come up with a second car. So, looks like we will get two chances of being humiliated instead of one! ;D So, put me down for another Chevy. Ron (Bondo) Lonestar Racing and Resins

Well the tune ups are done. Service, wash, wax and load on the transport. ;D Yikes! I've still got X-Traction parts spread out from one end of the shop to the other! There'll be no washing and waxing before my cars hit the road to Urbana. Good luck, Rick V.

I just want to refresh everybody's memory on the format for this race. I don't want people to be surprised once the race starts. I'm cutting and pasting from earlier posts.I would consider hosting a race like the F.A.S.T. series runs. The top 8 qualifiers race heads up. After that, the #9 races #10, #11 races #12 etc. the best 2 out of 3. This would increase the fun factor for the guys that aren't hardcore about building rocket ships. Read more: www.nitroslots.com/index.cgi?board=osmn&action=display&thread=2068&page=1#ixzz15Q48aIu5I just thought of something else. How about this. At the races that we allow 2 entries, if you qualify for the quick 8, only your quickest qualifier is allowed to race. That would keep 4 people from possibly taking all 8 spots and would guarantee 8 people in the quick 8. Everybody else would be allowed to race both cars. Read more: www.nitroslots.com/index.cgi?board=osmn&action=display&thread=2068&page=2#ixzz15Q3sFRBTWe will race with the F.A.S.T. format described earlier in the post. At races that allow 2 entries, owners that qualify both cars in the quick 8 will only be allowed to race their top qualifier for the reasons stated earlier. If 8 cars or less show up for the race all cars will race heads up for the Top eliminator title. If you send 2 cars and 1 qualifies in the top 8 and the other is outside the top 8, both cars race. If both cars qualify outside the top 8, both cars get to race. Read more: www.nitroslots.com/index.cgi?board=osmn&action=display&thread=2068&page=3#ixzz15Q4XN4jNThere might be one change to the format now that there is 35 cars entered. After qualifying, we will look at the times for the top 16 cars. If they are close enough the quick 8 may become the quick 16. The rest of the field would race as described earlier. 17 would run 18, 19 vs 20 and so on.

When you send your cars, please remember to put your entry # somewhere on the cars. A small piece of tape with your # on the chassis works well. This will help us to keep the cars organized.
Also with your cars, please put your Nitroslots user name, real name and address on something in the box. If you have any special warm up instructions, send those also.
thanks Matt
