Here's our last pair before the quick 8 elimination. We have #13 Wood's black 06 Camaro verses #33 Bondoman's Yellow 06 Camaro. On the first pass Bondo takes the win with a 1.113 to Wood's 1.167. On pass #2 both cars got quicker but Bondo still takes the win with a 1.091 to Wood's 1.114. Bondo wins in 2

The GTX takes the win with a 1.085 to the Javelin's slower 1.108. The third pair has the #6 qualifier Bluegnuoy's vette racing The #3 Qualifier Nitro's black Daytona. Bluegnuoy runs a quick 1.086 but fall to Nitro's 1.064 in the Daytona. The last pair of round 1 has the #7 qualifier Tvasi's Grand National racing the #2 qualifier Nosubfor3's gray GTX. Second round starts off with Wood's Camaro racing Son of Shooter's GTX. Son of Shooter runs a 1.060 and has a .509 rt. Wood runs a slower 1.062, but Woods perfect .500 light gives him the holeshot win by just .007 seconds. The second pair in the semi's is Nitro's Daytona and Nosub's GTX. Once again a holeshot wins the race for the slower car. Nitro's Daytona makes the quickest pass of the event running a blistering 1.039, but the GTX's 1.070 coupled to another perfect light gives Nosub passage into the finals. The win margin was just .003. That's the closest race of the day. Just a note, the back to back perfect lights were mine. ;D ;D

Well we are down to the final round. It's a classic battle of Plymouth vs Chevy. Who's gonna win? Will it be the Camaro of Wood or the GTX of Nosubfor3? Both cars made it to the finals on holeshot wins. This should be good. Not to be out done, Brendon cuts a .501 light and runs a 1.053 with the Camaro. I ran a 1.061 with the GTX but I also fouled out with a .481 light. Congratulations Wood. Your Camaro is the "King Of The Street" for the 2010 Musclecar Shootout. We want to congratulate Nosub on his runner-up finish and all of the winners from the first half of the show. We also want to congratulate Nitro for setting low et of the meet with a 1.039. We also had a cash donation to be given to the winner and runner-up. Wood wins $10 and Nosubfor3 wins $5. Thanks Bondoman Thanks to everyone who sent us toys to play with. We had a lot of fun with them. It will probably be the first of next week when they head back home to you all. Matt and the Ohio Mafia

OK so i guess iam confused alittle here,i know 9-26 race best two out of three.but how do you detrimine where you finished.why not take all the winners from those rounds andgo to the next rd and so on,unitil you have like a B main winner? i thought we were doing like the top 16 for A main winner and then take 17-and on for the B main winner?

When I mentioned the possibility of running a quick 16, we had 37 cars entered. Only 27 showed up.
There is no B class winner. There is only the quick 8 winner. I guess if you are out of the quick 8 and you want to rank yourself against the other racers, look at the times posted during the races.
Actually there were 10 winners yesterday.

Nice job Matt. I kind of liked the format. It gave everyone out of the quick 8 at least two more runs after qualifying. It's not something that we woud adopt at our local races every week but it's somthing to think about for future proxy races. Congrats Wood on your victory. Looks like all of us will need to head back to the garage and get our cars suped up for the next street rumble. Also congatulations goes out to BID for setting low ET of the event, well done Mario! .

Thank you everyone, but I can't take all the credit especially on hole-shot wins, that goes to the drivers. So thanks to Matt and his crew for some great driving and giving your time to this event!
Thanks for prize money Bondoman! Like we say in my fishing club "$5 bucks or $500 bucks there's nothing like bringing home a check........"
Last but not least thanks to Bluegnouy for all the test and tune time on his track, helps take out some of the guess work. I'm ready to listen to more Hayseed Dixie!
Already looking forward to the next event.
