No need to apologize. You helped make it a four car team. I didn't do a whole lot either. To me the first race was the toughest. Keep asking questions, and most of all have fun! see ya at the next one!

Hey PC, you don't need to apologize, WE were just outperformed. Just build on what you have learned from this race and come back stronger next time.

Wow! GREAT race! ;D Thanks to Rick, his wife, and all the crew at Lions for a GREAT race! I KNOW this is a LOT of work, but it looks like you guys out there enjoyed it as much as we all did watching the coverage! Congrats to all my 'fellow' Chevy racers! We sure 'left a mark' didn't we? Congrats Wood, you definitely figured out those cars! And congrats to all the other guys that won prizes too! Trust me, you guys that have never seen Rick's bodies, you're gonna LOVE them! Sure hope I can figure out how to get more speed outta mine before the next race! I think I got the consistency thing figured out, LOL, now I just need some more horses under the hoods! Actually, kinda new to this 'winning' thing. STILL don't know exactly how in two races since the first of the year, I actually won 4 trophies? Would like to thank my wife, Bev, up there in Heaven, as I FIRMLY believe SHE has been 'pushing' my cars and giving me the edge I need! THANKS BABE! ;D Now, I gotta go add another shelf on my 'trophy wall'..LOL. Didn't really expect this, at least not this SOON after the last race anyway! Again, GREAT race everybody! Looking forward to the next one! ;D Ron (Bondo)

The Aftermath There is no place as desolate as a drag strip on the day after a race. After the crowds have gone and the racers have headed home, all that remains are the memories, a mountain of trash, and several thousand unsold Tofu Burgers. All of the haulers left Lions on Tuesday via Priority Mail. Phyllis the Mail Lady promised they would receive only the very best treatment. The Lions staff hopes that the cars and prizes got matched up with the right addresses. If not, well, maybe you'll get a better car than the one that you sent. One last piece of business: following the winner's circle ceremonies, champagne toasts, and victory celebrations, the two winners had a date with the technical inspectors at the teardown barn. There was no question that 440gtx's NP/S Challenger and Woods' Vega NF/C were legal, but the Lions Drag Strip tech crew is a hard-nosed bunch, and they wanted to do it by the book. The motors were removed and checked for resistance. Both the NP/S and NF/C winners used JL/AW three-lam arms, with no apparent balancing. Landy's arm measured 15.0/15.0/15.1 ohms at 79 degrees, and Wood's measured 15.0/15.0/14.9 ohms, also at 79 degrees. So with that, the race results are official.

Woods and Blugnuoy arrived today no problems.
In a day or two I'll post some pictures and components of my 4 gear cars in the tips section. I don't think there's anything real special but it may help. feel free to ask questions.

Hey man, what's the old saying? "better to get whopped once, then to never be whooped before" Okay, that's probally not it. But you were out there and you learned. More then a lot of us did. So next time you'll have a better idea what it's going to take to do the whopping yourself. beside, no one will remember you for long... okay, that may not be it either but I think you get the picture. Keep steppin out there and your day will come...okay, that one worked! Hauler showed up today and the guys had they're tails between their legs. What a whooping they got. Congrats too all. Thanks Rick. Bye
