I guess now someone is going to have to design some high resiliency/high temperature brush springs.

Honestly, that's why I didn't run straight springs and my times suffered. I figured if I had tuned it properly it would've run .025 to .050 of the top qualifier and that may have been enough to win if it were consistent. Straight springs tear up the com and start unwinding when the motor is spun the wrong way.

sjracer I agree straight springs are rough on the com. I have never used that type of setup. I like the trational brush/spring setup. I think the springs melted because the motor is drawing to many amps. I knew this going in was hoping it would last longer than one run.

Eagles Garage at the Blacktop Raceway has been very busy. Looking at different spring combos for F.E.D. Also working on new heat sink design for F.E.D., not brush cups. One of you F.E.D. racers had brush cups and made a request to have it checked. It was a pain in my bisquit to get it back together Anyway lots going on working hard on MM/PS. I am building two one G3 and a Wizzard Patriot. For the Wizzard I will have to cast a new body, Dodge Avenger. Oh the Henry J is a 4Gear and on ebay now for 11 more hours.

Working on my Wizzard P3 today gotta find more horsepower to stay up with those (Bad To The Bone G3s). Fast or slow I am still going to race it. They are a fun chassis to work on.

Finished the Pro Stock casting for the MM/PS class. This body will use a detached axle for the Wizzard Patriot chassis. I will modify the mounting tubes to fit inside the body. They will snap into the mounts inside the body.

Hey Eagle the only thing I have found so far to help the brush spring in my F.E.D. is a first generation 4gear chassis. It has brush springs like a Tjet.

I have a pretty good idea on paper to modify the AW chassis for a heat sink, not the old brush cups. As soon as I have my MM/PS ready I will work on it. I will share this idea if it works.

Just a pic of my MM/PS. The pic shows the body I'll be racing with a detached axle. This is for the Wizzard Patriot setup. In the forground is sneak peak at the motor that will be powering this race car.

Here is the Wizzard Patriot with the body slammed in first pic. The second pic shows the detached axle and how I did the body mounts.

Thanks Sam I think this car might give the BSRT G3 cars a run for there money, I hope. The 3ohm, balanced, zero timed, green wire Wizzard made arm is a pretty good arm. It is however not tied like the BSRT 140 arm, but that should be no big deal at this level.

Well back to the shop, testing started off good on MM/PS times in the low 5s. Two nice runs and went straight to the 8s, not good. Hope the arm isn't damaged .

I admire you Eagle for attempting to put together a MMPS that isn't a Super G, I'm seriously thinking about modifying a Super Mag for 1 and running a Super G or Lifelike as the other. And I agree fast or slow I'll send them. The key to the Super Mag set up is to find the right pick ups to modify, the original ones don't have a large enough contact patch.
