Here is a couple of more pics showing my custom plastic wheels front o-ring and rears with Super Tires mounted. They true up easily. Check out the mirror chrome finish on my wheels compared to factory wheels. I used Molotow Liquid Chrome that I purchased from Hobby Lobby. It was located in the model area. It is the best I have ever used.

Here is a photo of my new strap motor setup. It is setting in my latest carbon fiber chassis. This has the adjustable traction magnets installed in the front of the motor. The standard stock setup is the LifeLike stock Tmotor. This setup has a Tyco style 3 ohm armature. The armature shaft is the same size as BSRT, Viper, Tyco type arms. The setup also is fitted with adjustable brushes. The motor magnets are Neo42s.

Here is one for the Ford fans 66 Mustang. I will begin testing soon. I am pretty sure I will be changing the crown gear. The wheels are Road Race Replicas that I cut down. I bonded the Jel Claws to the rear wheels. I have not decided on paint yet. As you can see it all tucks in with room to spare.

Made first pass with the 66 Mustang. It launched great and was air born going across the finish line...LOL I still got an ET of .434 @ 37.9 mph. After inspecting the car one of the rear tires broke the bonding from the wheel. My setup is .505 rear tires (Jel Claw) mounted on cut down Road Race Replica wheels, 7T pinion with a 25T crown gear. The adjustable traction mags are just a hair or two off the rail.

Nice ET and especially MPH. I pretty much use only silifoam tires when speeds start to go over 30 MPH. At 50+ no stock type tire will stay on the rim. There may be some glue that will hold regular tires on the rims at high speeds but as yet I have not found any.

I agree, but I am still trying to come up with a glue that will work. Here is a photo of my Mustang with Wizzard .500 drag tires. As you can see from the photo with a little sanding on the rear axle hub of the wheel they tuck easily into the wheel well.

Plan on doing some more testing this afternoon. My previous testing was with an 8 tooth pinion, 25 tooth crown and the stock wheels & tires. The traction magnets were between 1/64" & 1/32" off the rail.
I'll post some actual ET's & mph later today. Other related specs also.

Second run ET .403, third run strip the pinion gear. I am going to add wheelie bars. The launch is violent, almost lifting out of the slot every time. I know that it hurts the ET. I am now thinking I may bring back my metal crown gears.

Well, not much luck . Best I could get was a .470 and stripped the crown in the process. Replaced it and still trying to figure things out.

Gale, I am going to switch to metal pinion. I will have to have a sleeve for the 1mm shaft and then bond the pinion over it.
