" For Event #3 will the stocks be racing at 13.8 volts or 18 volts?" - bluegnuoy" I don't have a dog in this fight, and it doesn't really matter to me where I set the power output, so we'll run whatever voltage the majority of racers decide on[/u]." - Racemaster Rick Poll on Stock Class voltage for NTRA Finals now open.Your vote will determine the Stock Class voltage for NTRA Finals. I think 18 volts might require wheelie bars?? or extra weight?? Any thoughts??

Are we looking at 13.8 for both classes? Or would it be just stock and 18 for rat? ...........PC

I agree with "nosub". 18 may also make the skinny tires spin also.

The last Ratt run (in Jan.), I beleive ran at 26V. Since the ratt rods and the NP/S share the same chassis, I say run the ratts at 13.8v just like we ran the NP/S 2 weekends ago. The only difference between the 2 classes is tire size, shunts and bodies. Last year when we ran the Ratts at Phil's, they ran at 18v. Matt

Put in a vote for the 13.8v. Only thing I have to test on right now is ten feet and 20v wall pack. Tire spin is violent, causes desloting 4 out of 10 times. Would vote for higher volts for rats if it comes to vote. But have to say, no matter what voltage either class is run on. I'm looking forward to another event at Lions and the great coverage provided by Rick and the crew. Another way of looking at it - the 18v's for stock could make it more of a toss up and have everyone on the edge of their seats. ..............leaving vote as is for now. ..........PC
