Ok I would really like to give this another shot.
Anyways if someone can give me the rules in a nut shell, I would like to enter 2 and 2.
I get the 4 gear stock. Chassis specific to the body right? And good brushes are it?? No motor work? Stock magnets and stock shoes too right? Tire height? Car Weight?
Ok:
On the tjet class, can you guys tell me briefly, without linking me to the bible of rules, the basic build?
Motor, stock? Or rewinds ok? Trued and balanced? Poly mags or JL and Dash? What tire height? Shunts or braids? How many tooth crown and pinions? Traction amg? Wheelie bars? Body??
If I can get this info I would like to enter and give this proxy racing another shot please.
Thank you

Hey Joe. Glad to see ya back thinking about this! Let's see if I can help you out some and save Ninja some thinking..lol. This Mod Sportsman class basically combined Nost. Pro Stock with Ratt Rodd, so the rules have changed since last year. Personally, I believe for the better! ;D Ok, first the arm: 14 ohm stock JL, AW, or original Aurora, 2 lam or 3 lam. No rewinds, but truing, balancing and/or 'bonding' is allowed. No poly mags, but pretty much any other ceramic mag is allowed (JL, Dash, etc.) Shunts and braids are allowed, up to 2 trac mags allowed, wheelie bars allowed, 2 inch max from center of rear axle to center of wheelie bar axle, rear tire size .485 diameter max, max width is .230 or 9/32, whichever is the wider of the two (It's WAY too early for me to THINK..lol!). Silicone, rubber or other compound, as long as they are 'slip on' tires (no 'silifoams'). I don't believe there is a weight min or max on this class, but I could be wrong. Not sure what the gear rules are, need to go back and check that one. Now, on the bodies, Ninja will need to help with this one. From what I can tell by combining the two classes, any body from 1925 to 1979 will be allowed. Resin ok, or 'factory' manufactured. Inside of body can be lightened by grinding or sanding, but no 'outside' grinding. Pretty sure any scoop or blower is allowed, as long as the body remains pretty much intact. Since this combines the two classes and Ratts are kinda vague on the body rules, not really sure what's allowed yet. I was just gonna run a Nostalgia Pro Stock 68 Camaro body, BUT it doesn't look like I will be able to make the race anyway, which is why I haven't registered yet. WAY too much going on here lately. Hope this helps make it a little simpler for you. And, hopefully, Ninja or someone else can help out on the body and gear rules. Ron (Bondo)

Ok I would really like to give this another shot. Anyways if someone can give me the rules in a nut shell, I would like to enter 2 and 2. If I can get this info I would like to enter and give this proxy racing another shot please. Thank you Thanks Ron for taking on this one, but since I was working on it anyway I'll go ahead and post what I have. I get the 4 gear stock. Chassis specific to the body right? First a clarification on the term 'stock'. It is not used here to define body style but rather to indicate components used. In this case any factory made body may be used with the appropriate matching chassis. Instead of 4G Stock perhaps it would have been better named as '4G:Off the Shelf'.And good brushes are it?? Any carbon/copper brushes allowed. No motor work? Correct.Stock magnets and stock shoes too right? Correct.Tire height? .630" maximum. Slip-on silicone or rubber only.Car Weight? No limit. No body or chassis lightening allowed. Light sanding allowed to fender well for purpose of tire clearance. No re-arching (or re-arcing) to fit oversized tires. Body must maintain from the factory appearance, except paint and decals. In summary, run what you got the way you got it from the factory (except paint and tires). Batmobile, Skool Bus, Top Fuel or Funny Car; if it came from the factory that way it's legal. Exception: arms must measure 14ohms or greater.Ok: On the tjet class, can you guys tell me briefly, without linking me to the bible of rules, the basic build? Motor, stock? Any production Stock A/W arms and JL armatures as well as original Aurora T- jet types. 2 lam or three lam armatures are acceptable. Specifically omitted/banned are any arms that measure less than 14.0 ohms and/or any that carry the following designations: Wild Ones, Tuff Ones, Mean Green, Speed Wound, Blue Drag arms, or any similar High Performance or Hot Stock armature.Or rewinds ok? No rewinds allowed. Armature may not be retimed, rewound or dewound.Trued and balanced? Armatures may be balanced and blueprinted and/or bonded. Poly mags or JL and Dash? Any Production T Jet Type magnet, including JL or AW magnets may be used. Exception: AFX magnets and Magna Traction motor magnets are forbidden. What tire height? .485" maximum. Coated foam tires are not permitted.Shunts or braids? Modified pick-ups, braid pick-ups and shunt wires attached to pick ups are permitted. How many tooth crown and pinions? ANY T Jet Type gearing including and limited to standard 9 tooth pinion, 12 tooth Hop-up gear, or 14 tooth pinion Tuff Ones gear are permitted. Aftermarket 10 and 11 tooth pinions are likewise permitted. All other gears must be of the same material appropriate to chassis type. After market lightweight gears, or stock gears that are lightened, are not permitted. Gears may be polished and ‘lapped’ but polishing may not excessively lighten the gears. Plastic or brass gears may be used. Crown gears may be aftermarket of either 15 or 19 tooth count.Traction mag? Auxiliary, or traction magnets may be used. Magnets may be of alnico, ceramic, polymer or rare earth (neo dymium) type. Magnets may be dot bar or strip in conficuration. Magnets must be attached to the underside of the chassis, only.Wheelie bars? Wheelie bars are permitted. They should assume a reasonable prototype appearance. Wheelie bars must be so constructed as to not cause any short circuits or interfere with cars in other lanes. Maximum wheelie bar length is TWO (2) inches, as measured from the rear axle center line to the wheelie bar axle center line. Body?? Modified Sportsman is the combination of NostalgiaPro Stock and Ratt Rod classes. Either body from the two classes may be used.
Nostalgia Pro Stock - Bodies must be of North American prototypes only, years 1965-1979. Bodies are required to have a stock appearance and attitude. Wings, Air dams, spoilers and all similar devices and appendages must be only those employed on a similarly-classed full size car.
Ratt Rod - A very wide and lenient variety of bodies are permitted to run as RATT RODDS. ANY North American prototype, years 1925- 1969 is permitted. Altereds, Gassers, Shoeboxes, and all others shall be permitted, with the specific exclusion of FUNNY CARS, PRO MODS and DRAGSTERS . No specific style is mandatory, but the intent of the class is that cars effect, an ‘old school’ or traditional HOT ROD look.
With the allowance of Altereds, Gassers , and Shoeboxes, this should open up a field of creativity for experience modelers.
Joe, Glad you are reconsidering proxy racing with us again. Look over the answers to your questions and let me know if you want to join in. Take notice that this is a Flashlight Series Race. Match-ups will be by lottery and best 2 of 3 takes the win. Hope you will be joining us. Cordell - aka Ninjatek

On the 4 gear, I couldn't send in 2 factory AFX Rails with blue drag arms? This is the how they came from the factory?? But don't meet your OHM's requirements?? Please let mne know on these cause I would love to see some vintage rails in the race. I have to look at a few things but think I am going to confirm, a little later that i'm going to be in for 2 in each class. Thanks

In reference to joeskylarks question:
Poly mags or JL and Dash? Any Production T Jet Type magnet, including JL or AW magnets may be used. Exception: AFX magnets and Magna Traction motor magnets are forbidden.
Does this mean poly motor magnets are legal in N/PS and Ratt???

Nosub, the poly's aren't legal, production mags, JL or AW,as far as the Dash I can't say, they're not any stronger than the other two, supposedly Joe, I'll have to OHM the one I've got, but I think your right, it OHM's too low. I completely forgot about those arms! I'm going to say, no on that, but I'll leave the final decision to Ninjatek. Trust me I'd love to see those cars! Glad to see you your thinking about trying it again!

Even though these particular cars were delivered from the factory with the drag arms, they do not meet the arms ohms requirement. You can still use the AFX Rail shells if you can come up with pair AFX chassis that have 14ohms or less arms in them. Hopefully, you and others have something available to make them legal for this race. As you said it would be nice to see them in the race. In reference to joeskylarks question: Poly mags or JL and Dash? Any Production T Jet Type magnet, including JL or AW magnets may be used. Exception: AFX magnets and Magna Traction motor magnets are forbidden. Does this mean poly motor magnets are legal in N/PS and Ratt??? I have no problem with the use of Dash (bonded) ceramic magnets. Although they are a third party product, they pose no significant advantage over factory magnets as to their magnetic strength. Poly mags are not legal in either of races in the Winter Nationals. At this point poly mags are only the latest consideration for the 4G classes MFC (Modern Funny Car) and T/F or TF (Top Fuel).
