When I used to try an tighten the arm on gearplate of an x-traction it used to slide up and down the shaft. I've heard of people soldering them and adding a bushing/washer to the arm to prevent the movement in effect shimming the arm. My question is will this be allowed since shimming the magnets isn't?

Hey SJ, not sure what you saying - is it the arm shaft and arm the problem ? Are the windings, lams, and comm moving on the shaft ? Or is it the gear on top of shaft ? As for being class legal, my guess is no. Bushings are not legal in most NTRA classes, might be different for new T/F not sure. But not legal in any stock classes. Think concern is over putting bushings into plastic though. If your putting it on the arm shaft ........ maybe ?

Ninja, the quick glance rules in this thread say any pickups, AFX or AW/JL.
The quick glance rules in the NTRA 2012 Race Scedule and Rules Directory say stock pickups only, which I would think mean AW/JL only.
What is correct?

The quick glance chart posted in this thread is correct. As a general rule, the latest rulings will be listed with the sign-up list and any changes will be updated there. Racers take notice!!!
Street Class rules currently show "any copper/ carbon brushes;". This has been changed to read "Stock brushes only;".Disregard above notice about stock brushes only, having check my notes the quick glance chart listed under the poster on the sign-up thread is most recent rulings. This chart supersedes any previous printings of Street Class rules. Again hopefully, this change will not cause anyone any inconveniences. Ninjatek NTRA Race Coordinator

Put me down for 2 entries please.
Also my son and daughter would like to enter a 2 cars each. They are not able to register here as they are under 13 and were rejected when they tried to register. If they are allowed to participate, they would like to do so (my daughter is 12 and my son is 10). Please let me me know as we are going to have some runoffs this weekend to see who gets to enter which cars (yes it is a competitive enviornment here).
My daughter's nickname is MadKat and my son goes by SuperCoop and again each would like to enter 2 cars.

Yes it's the arm shaft it's self that the arm would move up and down on, perhaps AW remedied the situation.

LOL thanks guys! Cooper has been a long time lurker here and slot racer for the last 5 years. Madison just likes beating her brother regardless of the activity.

It must be one of Pro Boards rules as I have no control over the minimum age. Sam
