It's all good Jeff. The team idea Sam came up with would be interesting. I'd like to see more on that. One of the things I've been thinking about doing, when I get the Des Moines Dragway back up and running, is hosting an invitational race. Something based on participation in the races and on the forum and a few other things. It would be a simple build, kind of a cross between E/D Dragster, and door slammer. That's something we can discuss later though. OK here's my one complaint, the use of basketball/softball ladders. A while back I looked through the NRHA website and found how they setup ladders for the sportsman categories. It's a little different form what's been used. My experience with racing has been that the bye was determined by either a blind draw or was given to the #1 qualifier, but that's just me. I understand that easy to pull those off the internet and it saves time. We all do things differently, every track I've been to does things differently! I don't think there really is a right or wrong way to do it. Anyways, there's my rant for today. Have a great day gang!!!
(The opinions here are solely mine and may not be used without the expressed consent of the NTRA). J/K!!!!

Locals racing in race....Hmmmm....skr thinks it is interesting, yes it is.....only a problem for some when locals win . not a problem for me....... I enjoy the builds, Proxy results will always be secondary for me. Not sure WHO the "some" are that Eagle is talking about but would like to hear perspectives from both sides of the fence since Eagle brought it up.. Anybody?

Sorry Jeff, just can't get on board with my own race. It's just how I am. Rick is building up a TKO track as we speak. When that is ready we'll get back to weekly racing and posting results so you'll be able to compare.

Peter,
Very big shock considering it was not too long ago you and I had a good talk on the phone about your Dad and the recent loss of my Mother. I will be in Tampa starting May 7th for a trade show and will be heading up to Brooksville to check on the house there. Sure would like to stop by. Be a strong as you can my friend. The best Alan

I look forward to the racing results when your group starts back up. I have always enjoyed that.

Greetings Nitroslots Members, Getting caught up on postings and noticed one stating that R&D Racing has moved over to 1/43 scale. I would like to clarify that R&D has not MOVED OVER TO 1/43 scale. R&D Racing has simply added 1/43 scale to the docket.
The 1/43 track is nearing completion and will hold an exhibition in August of this year. Hopefully you will stay tuned to what could very well be a lot of fun and with little money too to get into it!
The 1/43 track will be known as Cecil County Raceway.
The custom made TKO track for HO is still in existence and will become active again in 2015. Name of the track has not changed - Maple Groove Drag Strip.
Thanks for the read.
Regards
Alan @ R&D Racing

I enjoy the builds, Proxy results will always be secondary for me. Not sure WHO the "some" are that Eagle is talking about but would like to hear perspectives from both sides of the fence since Eagle brought it up.. Anybody? Hey guys, I understand how Sam, feels about this. Since joining, I've won 4 events. Three of these I did enjoy. The one this past October, NO ! Part of the reason I refused prize. I have in the past expressed that I was against this practice. Though not because I have ever doubted results at any event. It was kind of a selling point trying to talk others into joining the racing. Always would get an, Ohhh -......... like that was the only thing that made sense............ The other thing about it is, that it could breed speculation. Be it with new members, visitors thinking of joining, or just someone that thinks the world is against them. I like to see as many cars as possible at any event. What Rob, pointed out about competition holds true for me. I know others have an avantage when it come to testing & tuning. But in truth, it makes winning occasionally even better. Feels like I accomplished something. Saw mention that we lost a racer over a dispute. Had noticed some names missing from last event and wondered why. Guess this all took place with PM's. Just a thought on this........ I know things can get out of control on the forum. But perhaps if disputes were presented on forum ( without names ) as a matter of what has arose or occurred more views on the matter might help settle things. ............... Peter
