Thanks RM. You guys set the bar. I took some of your advice. This is lacquer that I transferred from can to bottle like you had suggested. Really like the lacquer paint. Still a lot to learn with paint and decals though.

Real nice JJ! Very clean looking Chevy. I think this is some of your best work that we've seen yet. I look forward to your future builds.

JJ,
As I start to prep cars for your Labor Day race can you tell me if your track is AW or AFX? What voltage will the track be using? Do you know the approximate rail height? Lastly any plans to run a test & tune or a pre-race?
Sorry for so many questions and thanks in advance.

Not planning on having any test and tune, but you can reference past class times at the track by checking race history. Top of page click " Look Back " under home page button. I have run all 3 classes previously and the track is very consistent so those times are still good. Here is a link to the standing track records for Blacktop and Bear Creek nitroslots.com/thread/3138/ntra-track-records. Hope that will help. Class voltages will be N/TF and TF 26v and Street 13.8v. Below are the track specs.
BEAR CREEK DRAGWAY
- Timed section is 1/64th scale 1000ft ( 15' 7" ) w/ 3ft shutdown into pillow box. - Tomy AFX plastic sectioned track surface - Mastech HY3010E 0 - 30v 0 - 10a power supply - Trackmate basic timing system - Measured rail height is .016 - .019 - Track support is constructed MDF 20' long x 16" wide table - Controllers are Parma 60ohm
Race ready NTRA regulation 1000' drag racing

Good to see another racer planning on joining in on the action & fun !
Time became an issue for T&T with race schedule being as full as it is......... Most I think prefer more races on schedule.

Great thank you for that. Hey Matt, I just realized who you were. I guess I should say welcome back. I remember Madkat and Supercoop at the King of the Streets too. Saw you asking about Drafool on another thread. Glad to have you back racing again.

Thank you I could not get into my old account.
I became ill shortly after the King of Streets race and reorganized my priorities a little. Long story, but more addicted to slots than ever. My daughter Madison and my son Cooper are still slotting.

Hey Jeff , Thought this should be under B/C. Have a few cars I'd like to get time comparisons on. We spoke about Lycan (DBR) , would like to run that with your MM/PS if its still up and running (mine are torn down at the moment). Also have Tyco's , with ceramic grade poly mags..... Mags seem strong , along the lines of G mags. Should have measured before putting in car. Looking for alternatives to G3's that could help lower cost of a MM/PS build. Though it might help get some peoples feet wet , that are not in the MM pool yet.
....... Peter

ATTENTION ALL COMPETITORS.........The Dog Days at Thunder Road are done, but the next event is only 1 month away. The Labor Day Nationals at Bear Creek Dragway will be kicking off September 5 and 6. Classes running will be Street, Top Fuel, and Nostalgia Top Fuel. TF and N/TF are the last pro classes to run this season so you don't want to miss this one! Also......the race will be open to match/grudge races. So if there is someone that you have been wanting to call out ( you know there is ), now is the time. Not long before race day so get those wrenches turning. Cars will need to be here by Thursday September 4. Be there or be square.......OH YEA!!!

I remember us talking about the Lycan but I don't recall the details or where the discussion took place I think it was PM, but not sure. Sorry it's an age thing....lol. Did you want to send for the Labor Day race? Both my MM/PS are still together so that is not a problem. Let me know what you want to do. Jeff
