I'm blown away!!
Good job Doug, Peter, and Mockingbird Heights Crew. Thanks for running the event. Happy Halloween!!

Fun event Doug. I look forward to next year. You guys did an excellent job for being first timers. Now that your feet are wet, you'll want to do more. Congrats to PC & Jeff, can't believe I had chassis parts break, must of been the old rusty Genaral Motors chassis. Are you sure it didn't come out the back door? possibly body parts... Thanks Doug & Crew!

Hey all,
Sorry, had to leave just when Doug, was starting to post. Did take a little time to look at coverage, didn't really get to see anything yesterday. Was busy taking notes. Did spend a bit of time yesterday laughing. Got to tell you about it. Two friends helped out by doing the driving. Both of whom are in their 20's, and veeery competitive with each other. This made a bit of a chore out of getting results to make notes from. For probably 60 sec's after every race all I could hear was things like; I won!, Got him!, your lucky, you just stink, gotcha again, and on and on it went until cars were lined up for the next race. It was fun seeing both of them wanting to win. And probably was the reason for a lot of the red lights. Had both practice starts before the races started, thought it would help keep red lights to a minimum. But once the races started the gloves came off and our drivers were going for it every round.
The cars that came for the race all looked great. Amazing to see for real, and not just pictured. Love those one of a kind paint jobs. Oh Sam, tell Chima, it got lost in the mail! Na, just kidding. But please, please tell us how you did it. Beautiful !!
We had seven different types of chassis competing. Four of which were AW 4g's, I think all tha tsent one of these may have been worried about making enough power (wallwarts being used). Or to much motor for the power supplied. Custom winds, mean greens with ceramic m/mags. A stock arm with poly m/mags. No combination though of arm and magnet mods. From personal experience I've found the m/g,poly combo (NTRA M/FC) runs faster than any other 4g on a wall pack. Maybe not to its full potential, but still faster.
A t-jet came from Bondoman, unfortunately this was one car that suffered from not enough power. You could hear it crying for amps when it ran. Thought this might happen when I recognized the wheelie-bars, then looked at the bottom and knew it was going to suffer. I do need to ask, where did you get the crown gear? Looks bullet proof!
Two of the inline chassis were Tyco 440x-2 wide pans (who says wide pans are no good). One a stock set-up the other with green wire arm (2.7) and 8/22 gears. Maybe thats why its a little faster. But I know for sure Phantombse, has one fast stock 440!
SKR, sent a Tomy G+. Another stock set-up? And untooned? Where you guys getting these stock rockets from? Real fast.
Doug had two inlines running, a SS/Panther-Slottech, and his FED with old tyco can. The FED, I think has potential. If an arm and magnets can be found for it, could be a hot set-up. The Slottech, is fast. Probably the reason I used the tyco set-up I did. Some time ago we used to road race the cars. I built the Tyco so it would run with the Slottech then. Had no idea how they would do straight line, had no staights then long enough to know.
The last car entered in the race was a last minute thing (sorry bout the lexan, only body I had that fit the bill). Wizzard Storm extreme, I think, been afew years since getting it. This car to I think suffered from lack of power. Seemed to start slow and pick up speed for whole run. Doug, asked if I could get another car together to round out the field some. Last minute thing.
Want to say thanks to everyone for sending cars, was a lot of fun! ......... Peter
