2 MMPS and 2 door slammers. I am going to send a few of my piggy's in just to see what happens. Looking at the rules and it seems there is not much that can be done anyway. I will work on my piglets and go from there. 1980 or newer bodies in the one MM class, I don't think I have any but I will check it out. I like the older body styles and 99% of the newer body styles make me vomit, especially the Asian ones. I looked in my junk pile and found a couple, Corvette body OK? I have a couple of PS bodies and chassis for the 4 gear class that are truly slow but I will put some time into them and see what happens. What is the address that cars are to be sent to? Do we send a check with the entries or is it pre sent? I have started reading the tech tips and the only thing that I have learned there is the toothpaste trick which I will give a try.

Just caught this, Dave. Address will be sent to you via PM.......... I send cash now...... easier than money orders...... or out of state checks.....
If you have any valve polish it will work faster than the tooth paste...... make sure to clean & oil.

Dave, I just joined Nitro Slots back in November and looked every where for info about tuning those little cars. A bunch of it is here and a bunch of it is out on the web. Last week end proves the info is there, my cousin and I are still learning too. Every one here on nitro slots is super nice and willing to help as you have found out. You sound excited about racing the little cars and so am I. Good luck at the race coming next month and welcome to Nitro Slots.

Thanks, I worked on one so far and changed the armature to a 6 ohm which picked up about a .1. Have to put it on the new power supply now and see how it does. The supply made a big difference with some of the cars picking up 1-2 tenths even at the same 20v the 2 Aurora transformers put out. The difference is this supply regulates at 20v dropping only a tenth or two while the Aurora transformers drop about 5-6 volts under load of .5 amp.

Thanks, Dennis appreciate the welcome. I will need plenty of luck in the next race. With time I will be competitive as my knowledge grows. For now I will just have some fun making the cars a little quicker. My cars have dipped into the .6 range with the new track and supply so I am on the right track. These 2 went down the track side by side, similar ET and reaction time, with the winner determined by only a few thousands

Dave, Good to see you got the power supply worked out......... what kind of cars / voltage ?
Dennis, What did you find on the web ? ........ gonna share......lol.....just kidding , unless it was good....... just wanted to say there's a ton of stuff here - but to tell the truth I don't know where to find half of what I remember seeing.......... best bet is just to post questions when you have them , and use old posts like a reference to pick up on items unthought of........
Now........ BACK TO THE RACE ........... finished up T/F tune-up......... gotta fix fed#2 body after incident (do that later)......... only other thing is MM's......... Cobalt should be ok......... hope I can get T-bird back in form.......... other than that a little oil before leaving.

Those are basically stock G + cars, no traction magnets. The Chevelle has larger rear rims and tires but the 57 Vette chassis is totally factory, just put the body on it. The way the cars are sitting is the way they went down the track, side by side. The little Vette has hit the best time so far with .674, not consistent however. All the runs so far are at 20 volts. I have knocked over 1/2 second off some of the newer 4 gears, with traction magnets, and over a second with one I put a 6 ohm armature in.
