Keeping the rear tires on at those speeds becomes a problem. Really have to be glued on well and the tires seem to find hiding places when they leave the car. Once others get used to a class like this it will get a lot closer. It is fun and new challenges arise when you start going this fast. I am also impressed by how fast the T Jet and AFX cars are running. Once modified I do not see any advantage between the AFX and T Jet cars and in the future the Outlaw AFX and T Jets will run together at my races. Right now a T Jet has the quickest time in the .42-- range and an AFX has the fastest speed with a 34+ run. A month ago none of my modified inlines could match those times and speeds.

WOW!!! Over 50 mph at only 20 volts, that's impressive. Impressive is right ! Highest speed ever for NTRA event that I know of. Did not know what to expect from outlaw. One of a few that never ran more than a foot before. But being 15 mph off the pace.........Wow you got some fast cars, Dave !

Will reveal most of the secrets after the event. Commutators and motor brushes holding up surprisingly well. I think the 20v has something to do with that. Lots of testing went into both the inline and 3 gear cars. Some things worked and some fell on their nose.

Concerned over time for outlaw jet.......... (none of my cars did what I though). Time for t-jet sounds like more than tunning tweak. My first thought when seeing time was to pull car. But it has always been quirky at best. When it comes to race...... Can car be shut down after start if not at finish yet ? Speed & smoke are one thing. But smoke for 8mph isn't worth it.

AFX and T JET Race results. Decided to run these classes first since there were not to many entries.
First round. TQ Dave632 with one of 2 Green 55 Chevys designated as G-2 against Ninjatek's dragster in disguise as a PU truck. Looks like the 55 was in a bad mood after a T Jet beat it's time so it blistered the track setting both ends of the AFX record and beating the T Jets ET. Running .4204 @ 35.51mph. The PU followed with a 1.3976 @ 10.09mph.
Next run pitted Ninjatek dragster, now in a car body, with a very strong running 4 gear vs 68Camaro driving a Silver 69 Camaro. The Camaro takes it with a very good .4688 @ 31.26mph, Ninjatek followed with a good .6747 @ 23.27mph. That 4 gear will be a contender in any 4 gear race. 4 gears are my next challenge as there is an Outlaw race upcoming for them.
Next race, 2 Dave 632 cars. Yellow 55 Chevy and a Yellow 67 Camaro. The 55 gets it with a .4885 @ 29.01mph with the 67 getting a .6183 @ 22mph. The Yellow 67 has a stock mean green armature in it so it is very quick for what it is.
Round 2. Low ET Green 55 Chevy G-2 gets the bye into the final as the Silver 69 Camaro and the Yellow 55 Chevy battle it out for a spot in the final. The Camaro gets the win with a .4700 @ 31.42mph. The 55 was close behind getting a .5049 ET and 27.60mph. The 55 led at the 60' mark with a .0542 vs a .0579 for the Camaro but superior HP took over for the win.
Final for the AFX cars: Dave632 running a Green 55 Chevy vs 68Camaro running a Silver 69 Camaro. Great race as reaction times are .0002 apart, the Camaro takes the early lead with a better 60' but the 55 starts closing fast. The 55 gets by running a .4348 @ 34.44mph with the Camaro close behind at .4660 and 31.86mph.

T Jets: Round 1. Pceng Green 60 Vette vs Dave632 Blue 68 Camaro. T Jet TQ takes it with a .4377 @ 32.01mph, Pceng follows with a 1.1291 @ 9.6mph.
Next up 68Camaro with a, what else, Black 68 Camaro vs Dave632 and a little Gray 60 Vette. The Black Camaro leads from start to finish as it runs .5434 @ 27.38mph vs the Vette with a .8409 @ 18.18mph.
Final: Battle of the 68 Camaros Black and Blue!!!! Blue Camaro gets it leading from start to finish with a .4540 @ 30.30mph with the Black Camaro .0880 behind running a .5326 @ 28.53mph
