No issues with the big tire car. The question has been asked and answered. Unlimited tire for Stock 4 gear Kiwi Challenge.

OK Nitroslots........It's heating up in New Zealand. Word has it they got together this weekend for some test and tune to get ready for the trip to the States. 4 gear track record was reset and as far as I know, that number was .999ET. Now it is somewhere below that. At the last Kiwi Challenge 2 the fastest N.Z. car ran .948ET @18v for fastest ET at the event. That same car set the track record at Bear Creek Dragway @ .986ET and was able to back that up. Anyway guys and gals......New Zealand is coming and we better be ready.....'cause they ain't messing around! OH YEA!!
Here's the link to the Kiwi test and tune if you want to get a look at the cars.

Jeff can you please put me down for one in the Manufactures Race. Put me down on the Mopar list since there's a shortage of Mopars. I've only taken inlines apart never had to put one back together yet. See what happens.
Thanks Rick

Nitroslots members.......... There are 28 days till the Bear Creek Dragway Ultimate Team Challenge. Less than that in tuning time. We are running a little light on the Manufacture Challenge sign up list right now. Still plenty of time to get out those stock inlines and put a tune on them. This is a team event, but all you need to do is send them to North Texas with your favorite Musclecar or Tuner body on top. The rest will be done here. It will be a fun event for bragging rights and maybe a little friendly smack talk. We really need some more cars in the field, so if you haven't raced with us before.....or even if you have, this will be a good one to get in on. We always do it up here at the Creek and this one will be no different. Cars will need to be here by Thursday June 22. That's when the qualifying will start.
The 3rd Kiwi Challenge will also be running that weekend and this looks to be a heated meeting. New Zealand took the crown home with them last year, but it came down to a run off between the top dogs from each Team. Grant from N.Z. and Eagle Racing from Nitroslots. Grant's Freightliner Funny Car was a rocketship all weekend! The first Kiwi Challenge ended in a tie. There will be no more ties! The Nitroslots racers are eager to get the crown back this time.
Also running at this event will be the 9th running of the Pro Street Outlaws along with 2nd meeting of the newly formed Four Gear Outlaws. This is list racing at it's best based on the TV show Street Outlaws. Dave632 sits atop the PSO list with his "Rebel Nomad". He has been pretty dominate since entering the list last year but has Nosubfor3's "Blue Silk" hot on his heels. PSO rules can be found at the top of the forum page. Just click the PSO banner. Build a car and join the Shark Pool for a chance at the #10 spot.
Four Gear Outlaws #1 spot is currently held by Ecbill's Charger....I'm gonna call it the "Blue Streak", but JJ's "Leihua's Rose" Tbird is chomping at the bit to knock the Mopar from the throne. Same applies here as with PSO. All rules can be found at the top of the forum page. Just click the 4GO banner. We would love to have everyone here at Bear Creek for this Summer event. New timing system and power supplies are up and running! Look forward to seeing YOU here on June 22!
Blue Streak is a pretty cool name for the Charger. I've been referring to it as the General since its a retired Ideal General Lee body, pulled out of the slot car junk yard, with busted windshield pillars. Cooter put a pretty strong motor in that one. Yeeha!

Been doing some testing on the 4G. Then I found they will be running at 18V, was testing at 20V.

Bill I will call the car whatever you would like. I looked back and didn't see that you were calling it the General. I picked Blue Streak off the top of my head for the promo. Let me know.

Blue Streak is good. Undefeated world champion would probably be too much. Seriously, it'll need a good tune just to stay in competition.

Impala Po has been added as the 7th racer on the New Zealand team. Welcome to the challenge!
There will be more Manufacture cars coming from down under as well. The race is starting to shape up nicely. Thanks to all that have entered and are sending cars!

Good to see the race lists filling up. 4GS is by far my weakest area but I have made some progress. Both cars are dipping into the .9s now on my track @ 18 V.
I know there is no qualifying for this event but since no challenges have been issued I would suggest that we give each car a run and run our #1 car vs the Kiwi #1 and
so on down the line. Is each race being counted as 1 point toward the team win?

Not running any cars beforehand, so if you have a faster car let me know which one it is. I wasn't sure how I was going to match them up, but that will work as good as any. I will total up wins as we go. Most wins....WINS!

Just 21 days left till raceday. I would like to try and bump things up by 1 day and get the event started on Thursday June 22. I will be on a tight schedule for that weekend due to some unforeseen issues. So please try to have cars here by Wednesday June 21 and let's see how that goes. Will be looking for the cars from New Zealand and England the closest. Everybody else should be able to oblige. I have been working feverishly to get things ready with the track, etc. and it has all come together nicely. Now time to get my cars ready, test the track and timing while doing that, and get more acquainted with the timing system. Bear Creek Dragway is ready and I am looking forward to it. Still time to get signed up if you haven't already. Race address was sent this morning to all entrants through PM. If you did not get it please let me know. Thanks everyone for entering the race!

An example of some of the action to be seen at the upcoming drag race. Timing system readouts will be similar to the ones seen here. Note how close this race was and it was won on a small hole shot created by the vehicle itself. 55 Chev vs Dodge

Great comparison Dave. I am sooo glad that I can even compare now. Yesterday was dark and rainy all day. The perfect day to spend in the garage at the track! First test and tune since the timing system addition. Started out with some cars that will be headed to Illinois soon and ended with some baseline runs of cars for the upcoming event. Timing system was flawless!! It is awesome to get the incremental times to say the the least. I'm not sure how I am going to incorporate the timing screen into the race yet. I normally have not shown the times in the past with the Trackmate Basic system unless it was a very close run. That is probably how I will have to do it this time although I will show more of the times. That would be way too many pictures to take and post. My car pics are always taken around the track at different angles as per the race they ran. I do not have a 330' sensor in my track at this time, so my screen will look identical to Dave's with that exception. One of the biggest things I like about this timing system is the ability to adjust the amount of time between the yellow and green lights on the Pro tree setting. I prefer drivers for my events rather than a simultaneous switch start. Even though the cars will have different reaction times on their own, the faster car almost always wins unless there is breakage or something like that. With drivers it is more like 1/1 racing and the fastest car doesn't always win because of the driver factor. Now with that being said...the drivers have to be on their game or it's just not fair. But the one problem I hate is the dreaded red light. I hate for anyone to lose on a red light, but to me that is as much a part of racing as a hole shot win, faster ET, etc. With this system I can adjust that time between yellow and green to a point that the driver can actually leave on yellow just like 1/1 racing and not red light. That number right now is set at .1. I also have a 3 to 5 second random delay when the tree activates. So you don't know when that will happen and almost impossible to red light unless I leave before the yellow. Now with all of that being said about drivers, I want to remind everyone that list races are run off of a simultaneous switch or one controller. I was referring to class racing in respect to having drivers. Anyway.....a pretty cool feature. Here are a few shots from the rail of some early testing from yesterday.
From the rail.....
Grandstand view.
Bear Creek Dragway is competition ready for the upcoming Ultimate Team Challenge! Oh yea!!
