Just to say the wrecking crews were at work today at Impala Raceway, old track striped away, new asphalt laid, the sparkie was called and the slot dragon light sensors were replaced with straight foot sensors, start and finish light sensor holes drilled and recessed from behind, new sensors fitted, glued and tested. Next working bee will be to lay the continuous power rails. Rock on.
Should say pic's to follow.

So the pic's from Saturday arvo working bee at Impala Race way. Start line sensor hole needs widening. Note machined pep plastic track. Finish line also needs the same treatment. That guy Po doing the cutting. Must mention assistant sparkie Mustang Paul helped with the rewire of the sensors. Time to knock off, drinks required. So until next time. Next race meet is at Mustang Alley. Our cars did get back to us, ran the scribble down the track, with being in transit and only having 2 runs, did a very disappointing pass.

Bad runs no good traveling takes its toll. I am enjoying watching you all set the tracks up. I may end up doing that myself.

Another update, Impala Raceway now has two powered lanes, just needs to be have rail heights set. last night was another round at sandfly alley, 4 broken records, cant understand how we manage to keep doing this. No chicken dinners for me as red lights took care of that even with two top qualifiers. Next week its back to Moonshine park.

Yes its a never ending quest for more speed, this is now the 4th generation of the sandfly track, I am looking now at building a tool to machine the rail heights, this should be fun.
