These questions were asked on the other race thread, but I wanted to post them here on the Sign Up thread as well.Questions: Inline Stock
1. Ceramic motor magnets. Must be only ceramic or ceramic grade? 2. 2 traction magnets. Any composition or ceramic only? 4 Gear Super Comp
1. Traction magnets. Again, any composition? Please pardon all the questions I have been asking lately regarding rules but having more than enough racing history under organized rules (slots and 1:1), the one thing I have learned is clarification of rules. I have been out of the HO racing arena for 11-12 years so I am not up to speed on what "stock" is these days. Guess if an old 440-X2 comes out on toip, I won't need to be to concerned about "these days"!!! Cozee the questions are not a problem at all and I completely agree with you on rules and rules clarification. Let me answer your specific questions and then comment. Inline stock 1) Whatever stock magnet came in the chassis you are running. Ceramic on most. Now with that being said, there are a couple of exceptions to the rules here. I am allowing the Jag Hobbies TR3 and DR1 chassis to be included which have polymer motor magnets. I do not believe they have an unfair advantage, or they have not shown that and have already been allowed in at least one other race. Also, I have not excluded the BSRT G3 chassis which probably does have an advantage. That was kind of an oversite on my part, but with just over a month till the race, I am not going to exclude them now. 2) Traction magnets......once again whatever came stock on the chassis. I think most had neos, but I could be wrong. So again....whatever came stock on the chassis you are using. I will do my research and find out if needed. 4 gear Super Comp 1) Traction magnets can be any composition. Only two located in the stock positions and also of stock dimension.....or close to it. No giant magnets please. Hope this answers your questions. Feel free to ask away if you need to. NTRA 2018 rules: nitroslots.com/page/ntra-rules

Not being familer with 2 of the 3 inline chassis you mentioned, and not owning any of the third, I was going to refresh some of my old X-2s but they came with ceramic traction magnets. Ceramics do not compare to neos. I have no problem running with poly traction mags though if they are legal. 😎

Although the Super G+ cars seem to be tough to beat, Dave 632 has raced some pretty compitive 440 X2s in the past few years.

I am absolutely no expert when it comes to Inline chassis and what they come with. But I do know that some of them use poly traction magnets. So if you want to use poly traction magnets in your car I will allow it. Keep in mind wheelie bars are also allowed.

I have found that wheelie bars are a must with the DR chassis once you get it going. The DRs use neos but they are not too big. The BRSTs with polys are bigger and give as much bite. The Neos on a BSRT are ridiculous and slow the cars down even the unlimited I have. You could run those on the ceiling and they would stay on the track. BSRTs do NOT need wheelie bars.

Super G+ chassis won both Rookie and Veteran inline stock at my last inline stock event. I don't think I restricted the timing as Jeff has done for his event. I have some pretty quick 440X2s that would have given the Veterans a race. I did not enter any of my faster stock cars at my event. I just concentrated the Super Comp class. Here are my entries for Jeffs race in the Veteran stock class. 57 Ford and 55 Chevy

Yes that is true, sorry to bring that reminder up Gnome, that car was quick though and it was close. Nothing wrong with a 440X.

ATTENTION!! ATTENTION!! ATTENTION!!
ALL RACERS AND RACE FANS!!
We are fast approaching another NTRA event in just over a month. The first ever NTRA Texas Nationals at Bear Creek Dragway in North Texas is going down September 28 - 30. Check out Page 1 of this Sign Up thread for rules and other information. This is a proxy drag racing event. Three Classes are running Inline Stock (Rookie / Street Performance type body), Inline Stock (Veteran / Street Performance type body), 4 Gear Super Comp (Modern Top Fuel, Nostalgia Top Fuel, and Fuel Altered type bodies). Best in Show will be awarded for best custom car overall. This is also an NTRA Pro Street Outlaw and Four Gear Outlaw event. If you are on either of the List's you need to be building and getting your call outs in. List racing is always competitive and exciting. If you are not on a List and want to be, build a car to the specified rules and Call Out the #10 spot. Win and you're in! About 4 weeks of tuning time left before cars need to be mailed for us here in the States. For the International participants 2 weeks give or take a day. Cars coming from England and New Zealand for this race!! How cool is that!! Thanks to everyone that has signed up! Those that have not raced a proxy event yet....this is a great one to start with. Very easy....build your car(s)....mail them to the race address....watch the race on raceday. Your cars will be in very good and capable hands at ALL times. Sooooo........Be there or Be square as we say here at Bear Creek!!
