52 race entries as it stands right now.......with just over 3 weeks still to go. You guys are making this a killer race!! So much for the small 2 Class Fall race....LOL . I always put the time in to try and make it a good event for everybody. This time will be no different. It will be 3 days of proxy drag racing at it's best! I am going to make every attempt at slow motion video of the Finals in each class for sure and any of the top List races while continuing with the normal staged pictures (lots of pictures) and commentary. For the second race this year at Bear Creek, we have race entries from not only the US, but NZ and the UK as well!! How cool is that. I am honored to be racing their cars as well as everyone else's. It's going to be Epic! If you're not in the show, it's not too late. But you don't want to miss this one.........2018 NTRA Texas Nationals September 28 - 30 Bear Creek Dragway

Thanks Dave. Those are actually some older pictures of the track. I've added a second monitor at the traps and a few other things since these were taken. The garage has a lot more truck parts in it now as well with the ongoing 1/1 C10 project. I've been playing around with some slo mo videos for the race. This is a test version of what they are going to look like. No audio on this one and I'm not sure if they will have any?? Can't find the right clip that sounds right and they are too short for music. Just click on the pic. Check it out......

Here is a second test video with some sound effects. They don't match up exactly, but it seems better than silence.
I do this so seldom that I have to re learn everything each time I do it. It's actually pretty easy so I'm going to continue to practice with them up until the race. As you other Racemasters know, time is of the utmost importance during a race. So time will dictate what I will be able to do. But I will be incorporating some slow motion videos into the race! These videos were done on a Samsung S8 Active in slow motion mode at 1/8 speed.

Going thru the gears and matching the car going down the track. Most music with the cars going down the track does not appeal to me but that was perfect. I have to get a slo mo camera for my next race and learn how to apply it, I know it is a pain as we have done it with my sons camera.

Thanks Dave. It is close enough to make me laugh out loud the first time I viewed it with sound...lol. But I was looking for some sounds at the traps. All I've found is starting line or mid track. I'm video and music editing challenged so I try to keep it simple. I'm using some video editing software that is pretty straight forward and that is the most important thing. It cost me $20, but worth every penny. I kept trying to do it with free stuff out there and it wasn't working out. I'm going to keep working with it up until the race so I don't have to learn during the race. The better I get, the more I will do. I like a combination of staged pictures, commentary, and video for my races.
This is the software I'm using, but there are a ton of them out there.
