I was having trouble finding a set of tires that were snug on the Dash wheels I'm using on my 2 gassers. I stumbled apon a place with decent tires . Ho tires direct ,the tires on the willys have a .466 od. and the ones on the Anglia are .474. They have a lot of sizes that seem to fit just about anything and most are available in 3 different compounds. I picked up a nice set of .588 for 4gear wheels also. Best thing for me is they're about 20 min. down the road. pricing is single tire based, the .466 were .55 each/ $1.10 pr. the.474,.65 each/ $1.30 pr. and the . 588 .85 each/ $ 1.70 pr. they mention club discount but I did not inquire. Don't know how they compare w/ super or jet claws performance wise just know it was a fast response and they have a fairly large selection. What are the hardness designations? P1=? P2=? P3=? Soft,Medium,Hard??? They actually are rated C-1 ,C-2,and C-3 .. med-soft,firm ,and extra firm .The C-1 seems like it's a very soft tire to me, it's the only compound i've tried so far. A little feedback on the ho tires direct: All my entries at Gales race were running these tires,the 2 gassers were running the " s-1 " compound and they both had issues with staying stotted. Despite Gales above and beyond the call efforts 1 could not even post a qualifying time.Although there appears to be no issue on my Tomy track on Gales which was diplaying outstanding grip it is an issue. Wheelie bars seem to be a must have if running these tires.As my tuning skills increase(hopefully) I can share better info. If anyone needs/wants any more of the O-ring tires from the Aug. race let me know I will send a cpl. sets to Texas with my cars. I get them free in limited quantities and am happy to pass what I don't use on. Rich Rich will you be running any of these tires on your cars coming to Bear Creek? For sure on my pso sharkpool charger,and maybe on my inlines. I will put cars running them along w/ sizes,compound ect. on a card, prolly send some for prizes and a few for the racemaster to test out for some usable feedback & data  |
