Personally I have not had much trouble with the little stickers. If I do find some residue. I use a very small amount of car polish on a soft rag and very gently polish the area. This works for me but the paint must be fully cured.

News flash! WD 40 does a good job of removing the sticky residue with minimal damage to the paint. Used a Q-tip to apply and just got a faint red stain from the flames.
It just came to me the other night that we used to use WD40 to remove the residue from contact paper in our cabinets in military housing. Stuff had to be removed when you moved out.
Thought you guys might like to know.
Of course it requires a thorough scrubbing before recoating. Blue Dawn did well.

Awesome builds Bill! I am a Ford and a Chevy fan so I like them all! The standouts for me are the blue and white Mustang at the top (love that color combo) and of course the Corvette. What paint did you use on the Vette? It is stunning! Thanks for sharing.

The candy red Vette was done with Plastic Coat anodized red over a chrome body. Will try to take a pic of the can. There is a black and gold Mustang in the shop awaiting clear. Will post a photo when it’s done.

Good thing I told you I would take a photo. It’s not plastic coat but Dupli-Color. 7768846A-EDF2-4AEA-AEF1-49F88F144879 by Bill Le, on Flickr You may recall the Vega bodies that I did a while back. One was done with that red. The blue and purple ones were done with the same line of paint, as was the Blue Streak Charger that ran 4GO. It’s lacquer and one of the better rattle can paints that I have found. The nozzle sprays a nice fan pattern. No problems when top coated with lacquer clear but it often doesn’t need clear.

I like the effect. I think I have seen this at the parts store. I use Dupli Color lacquers for my basecoats. Thinking that's where I saw it. Great shade of red. Thanks Bill!

Been experimenting with variations on the hood flames to go around hood scoops or blowers. The vinyl doesn’t conform very well around scoops or blowers. Here’s the first attempt, done on a 57 Vette Gasser. Side note: door flames were done by cutting a standard hood flame in half and applying a half piece on each door. 45B9F554-C431-4BC0-80FF-EC730E579B99 by Bill Le, on Flickr 31B67435-4DD6-4386-91E1-898EDC78F708 by Bill Le, on Flickr

Nice work, El Camino Bill.
Candy lime green. My favorite colour. Cool flames too.
Everyone has an opinion. I prefer the contrast of the black windows on the Cuda. Maybe put the red glass in a white Cuda that has a red stripe, or pin striping?
