Been experimenting with variations on the hood flames to go around hood scoops or blowers. The vinyl doesn’t conform very well around scoops or blowers. Here’s the first attempt, done on a 57 Vette Gasser. Latest builds, still dealing with the clear coat curse but went and got NEW pledge wax(future). Monster had to have individual letters cut out for top. (challenging) Good quality HO decals herd to find. It was way easier decal bashing for 1:32 using combo of 1:43 and 1:24 decals, but HO is so small has to be good resolution. Granted for zipping down the track most would say great but if i cant read it or it looks pixelated im like Meh! ;c{   |

Roll bar looks great. Silver doesn't look good on some cars.
The windshield looks a bit tall on the silver car taking some of the cool factor/sportscar look away.

I wouldn't worry about it. I have had cars that seem like nobody wants, like 800 looks and 801 it sells. Just keep relisting. Sometimes pull it off and relist at a later date. They do look nice.

Thanks for the feedback. Main reason I asked is to plan for the future. Don’t want to order 20 roll bars if the cars don’t sell. Personally, I think the little 3 point bar looks better than the stock bar. Slot cars collectors are a fickle lot.
Always wonder why the JL Afx Pullback bodies sell better than the Tjet bodies, when Aurora Tjets are much more popular and sell for higher prices. Just figure the Tjet crowd are more purists than the Afx guys.
If they don’t sell, they may just join the race team.
To answer Al’s question, they are on the pullback chassis and prices are $19.99 and $24.99 on eBay.

I also agree that the windshield on silver car looks too tall and the 3 point roll bar looks best. Nice work Bill! Windshield could be sanded down without too much effort.

Well, you guys were absolutely right! Both Vettes have buyers. The purple one was scooped up on a buy it now, in its 3rd week. The silver Vette has a bid from one of our own NitroSlotters. (wish you luck in your bidding). Silver Vette is in its second week.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to get a few more of those 3 point roll bars, after all.
