I've always had good luck just peening them with a hammer and the proper sized punch like Skillet posted earlier in the thread.

The one I bought was 15.00 + shipping. Peening with a hammer and punch sure makes sense.

Never could get that rivet tool to work right despite cutting it down to size. As suggested a proper size punch and hammer worked great.

The one on the left is the one I cut down. It is still to wide to fit the T Jet rivet in the front and back as the chassis interferes with the tool. rivet tool

One of them looks like it should be perfect for the rivets.
