Looking for ideas to simulate cement retaining walls along the track.
I have seen one that used 1"X2" board painted white. Looking for a little closer to scale.
Thanks!

I use wooden screen molding. It is just about perfect with the look and scale. Approx 3/8" thick x 3/4" wide.

If you get time a picture is worth a thousand words.

I liked the look of Jeff's track so much that I pretty much tried to copy the look. I hadn't realized he had used wood, pretty cool! What I used, although not readily available, was white 1/4" (6mil) PVC sheeting (Sintra etc.). I had scraps on hand from other projects. Easily cut to size on table saw. No painting or sanding, just printed advertisements on adhesive backed paper and applied. It comes in a 4x8 sheet from plastic suppliers or sign supply shops. A couple years ago it was around $65 a sheet, hard tellin' now. Sign shops use a lot of this and thus, a lot of scrap gets disposed of because its not usable for future signs. You could try approaching a sign shop in your area and see wassup.
Best of luck with your track build!
