I have a couple of cars that the best I can describe it is they stutter half way down the track (newer cars, AW), doesn't seem to matter which side of the track I am running on. Ideas?
Thanks! Steve

Steve If the car stutters it might be lifting the front end. Try some wheelie bars. Could be your p/u shoe springs are to tight. Do all four tires touch the track? Or the track rails are to low in some spots. What type of track are you running on? Do they stutter all the way down the track?

It's usually a combo of not enough weight on the front and too much pickup spring tension. Try just putting some weight on the hood of the car or chassis. If that clears it up you need to reduce the spring tension. You can change the spring tension in a few different ways. The easiest way is to trim a coil off the spring. I hope this helps.
p.s make sure that you are also getting good shoe contact. check to see if the shoe is running either toe or heel heavy. if so bend the shoe so that you have a nice solid contact front to back
