Shunt wire install

 I generally use shunt wires when rules allow. I have not seen much of an improvement, if any,
when installing shunt wires but it makes electrical sense, so I do use them at times.

Silver shunt wire

I install a wire to each pickup shoe. One goes to the left and the other to the right.


solder

Then solder the wire to a point close to the brush. Be sure to clean and pre tin your solder spot and not use too much heat or you will melt your chassis.
Notice that I use some extra wire and fold it under the shoe to allow the pickup to move and allow you to install the shoe.

The second shoe goes to the other brush.

You may or may not show and improvement, but it might be worth the trouble when a race is very close.
