Hi Richard, The actual race in July will be a bracket and a heads up on the same day. The bracket race will be ran first . The #19 qualifier won the Gasser Nationals so it's not always the fastest car that wins. A little luck from the drivers cutting good r/t's can take a slower guy a long way. I think this field will not be as spread out as the Gasser's were, which should make for some great racing.
Kdog, any chance of live coverage for the Nationals?
First a little rundown on how we did it. We warmed up each car per owners instructions, or 15 seconds. Some folkes asked for 30 seconds, we complyed but it seemed long to us. Each car ran 3 times on each lane. If it was apperent there was a problem, we took a few moments to see if we could tweek it. All the stats are on index cards to be shipped back with your cars. I will list the best time by everyone. Also on the back of the cards is possable fixes. Just a general note about the type of problems we found. #1 was pickups many folks would have been better served with stock pickups as opposed to ones bent in odd ways we adjusted as many of these as we could. #2 was front tires interacting with the pickups, if there was side to side play the wheels at times were rubbing the pickups, many needed axel spacers to hold the RRR wheels away from the pickups. #3 was over lubing the bottom bearing, quite a few smelled of burning oil, just a touch and a quick wipe usally does it there. We didn't feel taking all these apart was something we felt comfortable doing.
Now the resualts listed fastest first. DRUM ROLL PLEASE !

That was the T & T tests many of these cars had a few things to address but most could improve their times a bunch. Like i said we didn't take them appart or take a dremil to any bodys, we thought that better left to the car owners. Dog
Wow! I'm shocked! Sam deserves all the credit. He showed me how to build but, I'll take it LOL! Great job Kevin and the St. Louis crew. Looks like some fun was had and there was some close racing going on. Looks like I need to crack the whip some more on Sam as TJetcar looking good.
Talk about getting the drivers stoked, we ran the cars in the sign up order, so Kim & Sam were the first 2 to the line. Sams T Bolt launched very good each run, with Kim's Goat eating up track fast. the finnishes couldn't have been any closer, they traded wins back and forth till finally on the last run the GTO slid by for the win and it's best finnish. that set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. Tim is going to e mail a few photos to me I hope to get up later. Dog
