Another heads up on RATT RODD. The body rules are VERY loose. it's a class that is supposed to be imaginative and FUN. A 55 chevy with mismatched fenders against a AA/altered in suede paint one round, then a slammed thirty two duece vs a chopped and flamed chevy Nova the next. Flames, scallops, pin stripes, mothers quilt upholstery as well as Boyd Coodington Style beauties. This class is about imagination ata cheap cost.

Hmm.... Sounds like I just HAVE to do a Ratt too! ;D Quick question since the rules aren't up yet... what about tires/wheel width? Stock JL/AW or what? Or is there a width rule? Ron (Bondo)

On the list guys.
Ron, off of the top of my head I can't remember the legal tire sizes. I know it'll be open to more than stock size and it'll be slip on silicone tires only. John should have the rules up soon.

Ragu, if you have a F/C body then all you'll need to do is put it on your Gasser chassis. Same rules apply in both classes. i think Scottman was the one to bring up this idea to keep cost down. Good thinking Scott.

are the super stockers going to run on 24v or are they going to run 13.8v like last time? if they are running on 24v they are going to require more weight in the nose to keep them down. if at all possible i would like to run the ss class on 13.8v

The Super Stock race at the Fall Nationals will be held on their clubs portable track. This is a replica of Tim Ranch's NoCo Drag-O-Rama. Same car set ups should work fine.

rules are posted for all classes.
Superstock will not run at this event.
As it is we have three classes running already.
RATT RODD BB/FC And PRO MOD invitational.
BODY RULES for RATT RODD and SPORTSMAN FUNNY CAR are loosely defined. I personally prefer the MEAD BROS STYLE funny car bodies, but we did not want to mandate that racers would have to buy a new car body to race this class, when they may well have a suitable body on hand for conversion. Non-lengthened chassis may or may not be at a handling disadvantage in this class. The very definition of 'Funny Car' between the years about 1965-1969 is a very nebulous thing.
Ratt Rodds run on the new NTRA ProStock Chassis. Yes ,this chassis will serve dual duties, and you WILL see vintage Pro Stockers next season. You can also see that GASSERS and Sportsman Funny Cars share a chassis as well. This allows racers the ability to run more races without rebuilds or multiple chassis. Dual use chassis will not be used in more than one class at any given event however, at this time.
From here on out you will likely see the GASSER chassis referred to as the SPORTSMAN COMPETITION CHASSIS. RATT RODD/Pro STOCK chassis is designated PRO STOCK CHASSIS
PRO MOD is not an inexpensive class. likely the field will not be qas large as some of the other classes. We are calling this class "invitational," but to be an invitee all you have to do is acknowledge the cost and be willing to bear it to a reasonable level of competition. A quick and dirty estimate is in the range of 80 -110 dollars for such a car. (BASIC CHASSIS $12, ARMATURE $30-35, POLYMAGS $12, tires AND WHEEL $10. GEAR SETS $15-30) The foregoing is not intended to discourage any competitor, it is meant to be informative.
Please look these rules over and ask questions NOW.....it helps us refine the rules. The body rules for Ratt rodd and funny car are written more as commentaries. we are trying to allow as much room for "imagin-eering" as possible.
