Here is some info that Tim sent about his track
We (other club members and I) built the track in 2003. It is all Aurora O gauge track. 18’ 4” overall, 11’ 7” from start
to finish line (1/87 scale 1000 ft.) with intermediate timing at 660 ft.. We have speed traps which I have set at actual mph.
Timing by Trackmate semi-pro. Power is a Trackmate 10 amp adjustable voltage supply. We run our club drags at 13.8 volts.
Since this is Aurora track with steel rails, the car owners only need to have their shoes sit flat on any piece of HO track they may have.
Fast cars are still fast at 13.8 volts. Stock cars will perform great and provide very competitive racing. We will have an experienced team of drivers for the SS Nats and I am happy to be your host.

There are no "House" controllers here. It is drivers choice with the exception of no electronics allowed. Only mechanical controllers. Some guys like the 0 ohm buttons while others prefer regular trigger controllers of various ohm ratings. The cars don't care it is only driver preference. Tim Ranch

Sam, We had 11 racers and a field of 32 cars for our regular double-elimination brackets drag race Monday the 28th. There were no cars that really fit the SS Nats format. I did however look up some times from a few years ago when we also ran a heads-up quick 16 stock, small tire T-Jet class. When comparing you must remember that that class had to stay under a DYNO reading limit in order to race so the unlimited by DYNO reading SS Nats cars should be a bit quicker. I found a best time of 1.341 at 7.51 mph. If you think that sounds slow consider that for an approximately 1/75 scale car that is 563 mph. Tim

Thanks Tim, Doesn't sound slow to me. I hoping to get in the .4's, oops I meant the 1.4's . .4's are reserved for Jet.

The cars Tim is talking about are the chassis that had to pass our Dyno rule, we don't use that anymore. No one has built a chassis for these rules yet. I say someone will go .900 or better, with this bunch. Anyway all you guys can look forward to a SWEET event. Tims track is flawless, the Track Mate works well, and we (not braging) have some very good drivers who will run your cars like there own (for the win). Anyway we are just starting the planning for the race, Look for some good give aways, I am going to give away a SS car with a Stock T Jet chassis, through a drawing once we reach 64 entrys, so it can be used for the race,(if possable). The St Louis guys are excited, and ready to roll, lets see some Super Stock cars.

Ragu, your pedaling backwards! The good thing is that you'll learn more about tuning as we go along. I'm sure you'll do fine.
Kevin, Great to hear you guys are psyched for this event. .9's has me scared, what's that about 12mph? This is all new to me as well with running nos tjets. Looking forward to learning more about setups in this class.
Just a thought. It would be cool if you guys had some black & white photos of the cars as well. The cars would look great on Tim's track. It's kind of got that old school look to it.

The O guage is the same as standard T Jet track, I mesure mine at 1/8" from the bottom of the slot to the top of the track surface. The mesurment was taken with an X-ACTO Stanless steel precision scale. Depending on tire diamiter, an Auto World pin (about 1/16" longer than a Orignal T Jet pin) sometimes works, but with to small diamiter tire may rub. At the test & tune we will check this with a piece of track held up to the light. I don't mind sanding the pin with a fine emery board to get a little daylight under the pin, if anyone would rather i didn't do this let me know. The aftermarket "long pins" will defently rub.
After looking at the website you provided the .133 for the lock & joiner it the right track, and should give you something else to work with.
