In case anyone is unclear about the blue tip and red tip arms. A blue tip armature is not legal for the NF/C class. The min. ohms rating for this class is 14 ohms. However, this arm would be legal for Door Slammer class. The red tip /red wire arm is legal for NF/C class.

The arms that pics were posted, at least to my knowledge anyway, can't be bought from any current 'new' parts suppliers. You might find a supplier that actually has some "NOS" (new old stock), but that's pretty unlikely. You would need to search Ebay, or possibly see if any other racers might have any 'laying around'. Since the ONLY currently manufactured arm that's legal for NFC is the AW arm (as far as I'm aware of anyway). And then the problem for some guys arises in how to actually tell if an arm is 'good' or 'bad'. Especially when buying on Ebay, or anywhere else like it, since you're only looking at pics, not the actual arm. Actually, I think you might be better off 'friending' one or more of the "Fray" racers, since the ones I have spoken to seem to be very knowledgeable of the 'stock' arms, and how to find 'good' ones. (more like'typed to, since I've never met any in person..lol) My Doorslammer actually has an 'original' Aurora Tuff Ones arm in it (red tips, green wire). I found it on Ebay. And, since then I have been searching for another, but the best I can do is buy a complete car. At twice the cost I paid for that arm (or more). The Blue drag arm can actually be found pretty readily. I have one of those that's been balanced and polished, and I am going to build another Doorslammer and put it in it to see if it's better or worse than the 'Cuda. But, as stated, the arms that are legal for Doorslammer are not the same ones that are legal for NFC, since the NFC class was specifically created to stay cheap and simple. Ron (Bondo)

This place is in Laramie Wyoming. I have dealt with him over a few years. He responds quickly to inquiries. Click on the brand then what you want. He also has the weighted tiger tail PU's under T-jets. www.hoslotcarstore.com/servlet/StoreFrontHope this helps. Bob

Another one for the rule committee. Would you allow the tabs to be removed from the Auto World 4 Gear chassis. The chassis is designed with a slot to except another copper brace to go across the front. It would make it easier to buy rolling chassis for this class without having to run down old auroa/afx equipment. Just cut the tabs off ad the brace screw post to whatever body will fit.

All who have entered Manufacturers' Challenge, take notice of rule change. This ruling applies to all NTRA classes using AW 4Gear chassis.

Ya know, until this last question was posted, I never even realized there was another slot in the chassis for another brace! THIS sure is going to make it a LOT easier for the guys that want to 'slam' their bodies on the new AW chassis! Just remove the mounts on the chassis, add the other 'brace', and put in a post! ;D Ron (Bondo)

Is there a set voltage that these cars are running at during the NTRA scheduled races or is it up to the host? I am building 4-6 cars for the NTRA finals @ Lions and wanted to know if there is or will be a set voltage for this class?
Thanks in advance.

I think they are going to be run at 13 volts (or 13.8..somewhere in that range). That's pretty much what we've always run them at, if I remember correctly. But, I could be wrong. Ninja?? You need to field this one buddy!! Ron (Bondo)

I am building 4-6 cars for the NTRA finals @ Lions and wanted to know if there is or will be a set voltage for this class? Thanks in advance. Prior to the start of the race schedule, Racemasters are issued a guide to hosting NTRA events. Because of the variety materials and equipment used at the different hosting tracks, Racemaster are to use their own discretion in setting voltages for classes. Below is an excerpt from the 2012 Hosting Guide for Racemasters: During the 2010 NTRA Final these voltages were used to run these classes: Gasser: Class will be ran on 18 Volts. NF/C: Class will be ran on 13.8 Volts. This event took place at the same track 2012 NTRA Finals will be held. I do not anticipate that there will be any change in voltages used. Voltages are usually revealed at the opening sign-up (sign-up for 2012 Final will open early September). Hope this helps.
