There are two opinions of how the 4G Stock class rules should be. Between them there is reluctance to compromise, though whatever the
members agree to the holders of these opinions will graciously concede. Select the option that best fits your opinion of the Stock
class you would like to run. Once we have an option selected, we can fine tune from there. This thread will remain open until December
22th. Use this thread to state opinions, but most important, submit your vote! Changed your mind. No problem, should a stated opinion
sway your vote you can change your vote up until the lockout.

Opinion A:
About 4G Stock Class
My intent was to create a four gear stock using only stock 4G chassis parts
(from either chassis). The bodies would include any full fender 4G body
excluding the recent AW NHRA release bodies. Such bodies would include
Rolls Royce, Scooby Van, even the Batmobile. The body selection is not to
be limited to factory production but also include 3rd party castings.
Eagleracing has said it best by pointing out the 4G NF/C rules. Below I have
addressed some of the questions asked and created a quick glance chart for
4G Stock. Hopefully, this will clear up some confusion.

I have several questions regarding the 4-gear stock class.
space
1 what voltage is it going to be?
The RaceMasters were given a hosting guide which suggest voltage ranges.
For this class and arm rating the suggested range is 13V - 16V. The final
determination is left to the RaceMaster.
space
2 are Aurora chassis allowed or is it AW only?
You may use either Aurora or AW chassis.
space
3 if Aurora chassis are allowed what do you consider stock magnets?
I consider the ceramic magnets typically marked with Red/ White to be the stock Aurora mags
for this chassis. However, I was thinking any ceramic magnets to be allowed. No poly or Neos.
space
4 can we mix and match Aurora and AW armatures/magnets/wheels/springs/gears/pick-up shoes?
The above listed stock components from either chassis may be used.
space
5 do you have to use stock brushes or can aftermarkets be used?
Any carbon or copper brushes may be used. No materials allowed.
space
6 do the bodies have to use the stock mounts and ride at the stock height or can they be lowered?
Use of stock mount not required, but should be used if present. AW chassis side body mounts may
be removed to accommodate a wider selection of bodies, no other chassis cuts allowed on either
chassis.
Area rear of front fender well and before rear fender well shall not extend below bottom of chassis
when observed from track level. Top of fender wells not extend below top of tire rim(s) when observed
from track level.
space
7 can the wheels be trimmed to get them under the body?
Wheels may be trimmed.
space
8 is there a max tire height?
.550"
space
9 is there a min. weight?
No min. weight. No lightening of chassis or body. Light fender sanding to allow wheel/ tire clearance only.
space
space
Oh, so many questions.

We should probably start a new thread and get everybody's opnion. Here's some of mine, but I'm willing to go with what ever the group feels is best. I don't feel as though the resin bodies belong in this class. There are plenty of classes where those are legal. I feel that any A/W or Aurora body should be legal, on the correct chassis for that body. No modifications to the body other than paint.Who ever has an older body probably has the chassis for it. Any ceramic magnet,14 OHM arms,copper/carbon brushes, factory type PU shoes, stock wheels, can be narrowed and slip on tires. You can replace the front tires with O rings if so desired. The one problem I see is the rear tire size. i just measured the tires on a T/F dragster and mine came out to .627, one other issue is going to be traction magnets, new chassis have them old ones don't. I say they can be added or removed, maxium of 2.
