Rob, how do you find the Vincent's ? Tried similar once....... ONCE ! Awful ..... never since. ...... Peter The best selection of Vincent Wheels I have found is Jag Hobbies they have all the styles and come in 2 widths for front wheels, & 2 widths of rear wheels, you can mix and match for any type car you are doing. The dog buys just the front type "B" slotted to match up with the chrome AW top fuel Rear wheels, and just add #5 O-Rings for the front tires.

Vincent wheels are as true as all the others....depends on how you put them on.... Don't ask....that is a whole other thread.

Peter what kdog said, I use a Scale Engineering press for my wheels. It does an excellent job.

Peter what kdog said, I use a Scale Engineering press for my wheels. It does an excellent job. The reason I hesitate to give a one size fits all answer is that every Vincent wheel, or RRR wheel, or any custom wheel out there are a different shape there is no one press that works for all wheels, in fact most presses are made with 1 type of wheel in mind, using the wrong press will reward you with a nice set of wobbly wheels, with destroyed chrome. I own a bunch of wheel presses and 10 times that amount of failed try's at mounting true wheels with them. I don't use a wheel press at all for chrome wheels I take a different approach, but like I said not in this thread, it is a subject all it's own.

This is my resin casting version of a 4 Gear Pro Mod Anglia. The RRR version will almost fit inside this one. This one does not have the short wing on the back. I did a red one later that had that. I saw a 1:1 that had that and added it. The blue one is setting on a 4 Gear chassis.

I like Anglia's....... did you make decals for flames ? Funny you mentioned RRR fitting inside. Body I cast almost fits in RRR (panel van). Was never happy with body from RRR. Lines and that may have been alright but size was just off. To big no matter what it was next too for me.

Search 55 Chevy engine compartment in Google Image. That should give you plenty of ideas.

Peter, I build bodies that I think look good on the chassis, that it is being built for. I really do not worry to much about is it correct scale. I sold that car along time ago. I think the flames were decals.

It has been a long time since I looked under the hood of a 55 Chevy to. Engine was set back right up against the firewall where there was an indentation, battery was also mounted on the firewall on the passenger side. Radiator was tall and fairly narrow. Pretty big space between it and the engine unlike cars of today. You actually could work on the engine and keep some fingers. Headers could easily make it behind the wheel over the chassis. What else do you need to know? I just bought one of those bodies too but it is still sitting in the box, looks pretty nicely done. Gonna do mine up in polka dots with Fusia colors???
