i made the body from styrene and just wraped it around the chassis and the driver area from a tyco indy car.

here some new pix of the new front end with the help of my friend Scott.he loves to detail small scale.he is amazing!! hope you like the process more pix to come ;D if you are wondering about the longer pin showing i`m planing to put small wings and the front end from brass and piano wire    sorry about the size of the pic i`m still learning how to use it  |

Thats a very cool idea, don't let the Slimline chassis bother you, I have one that will run heads up with the Auto World chassis, also HORA had one win a road race last year. You can find fast Slimlines out there, but their only problem is they get hot on long runs, shouldn't be a problem Drag racing.
