Hi Guys, On page one of this thread is the poster with the changed dates and race location for the S/S race. A conflict came up in St. Louis that has caused the change. Hope no one minds. We want to thank the St. Louis guys for last years race and the races that I'm sure will be held there in the future.
WDWAHO Raceway welcomes "ya all" to sunny Florida! Anybody cold up there? Gonna get down to 28 here tonight and be the coldest day we've had in at least 8 years. Course it's back up to 70's tomorrow.
The Test N Tune date is now March 22nd and the race has been moved off of Easter weekend to April 25 for Qualifying and April 26 for the race. BE THERE! er... I mean SHIP IT THERE!!

When I saw the date change, and place the BETTER HALF(AKA.THE BOSS) suggested it mite be fun to visit my dad in LEESBURG and trailer the "Dog Catcher" on into ORLANDO thus I could handle the Net and Tranquillizer Gun myself,in the attempt to put the Wiley K-DOG in the pound ;D

We used Tranquillizer guns to get high when we were pup's son. Better bring something BIGGER !

Hey PHIL you forgot to tell them you hired PSYCHO to do TECH on the SS cars at the test and tune what could turn in to a rebuild soon for the chevy and ford guys. You see the only tool for checking cars he has is a chain saw. DEMON

Thanks for posting the info about date and venue changes. Having had the honor of racing previously at WDWAHO, I can attest that it's a first-race facility.
My rookie questions:
1. Phil, what's the length of your track, approximate rail height, and the voltage that will be used for the S/S race?
2. Can I send more than one car to the test 'n' tune to help me decide on which car to enter for the Big Go?
3. Will the proxy drivers do any pre-race prep (oil, warm-up, clean tires, etc.) before the run, or is it "Put the car on the track and put the hammer down?"
Thanks in advance, Rick V.

I don't Know about questions #1 or #2 but the proxy drivers have always done excellent prep work on race day you can specify how you want it done if you want ,but these guys and gals KNOW there home track but more about T-jets than I ever will and my cars have run better after they have Tweeked them than I excpected. When it comes back look them over and learn, they usually leave any Mods in place and a note saying what was done, thats why I can't wait to enter the next one,and to try and build the next class up.

Hey Rick, Here is a little info on Phil's track. I'll get his track in the venue tracks section as well. Any warm up instructions you have whether it be cleaning tires, oil, warm up the motor for however long should be should be wrote down and sent along with your car to the race. I hear they throw down on food at the races and I'm sure these guys will stop feeding themselves long enough to give each car the special attention that it's owner desires. Hey Phil, do you have a rail height for us? WDWAHO Raceway resembles an old country drag strip.
Timed length is 8'-9" which equates to a 1/75th scale
1/8th mile drag strip. Actually it's a 16' long, two lane
oval track with a couple curves added into the drag
strip return road. Timing is by TrakMate for both the
drag strip and the oval track. Track power is by two
Gilanko 0-20 volt power supplies. One for each lane
and both set at 18 volts.
