it's here somewhere................I believe its 13.8 volts. Sounds low but its perfect for the 1/8 mile or 1000 foot track.

13.9 volts is right. We are matching the first S/S race in St. Louis so people don't have to change things. It is also more realistic looking and gives a better way to judge who's overcome friction the best. The lower the voltage the more you need your act together to produce a fast car.
John Balich, I figured either you or Ruthie would be entering a Mary Kay pink Cadillac!

I finally started working on my car, along with my buddies wes and dan. Gears are lapped, magnets shimmed and road race replicas order has been placed. We ohm'd the arms and tested the magnets(with BBs because thats all I have to work with and I realize theres some margin of error). Here's the numbers, Dave- 16.3 16.3 16.3 Magnets- white 52 bbs green 55 Wes(spinner)16.3 16.3 16.3 49 49 Dan(casanova) 16.4 16.4 16.2 57 60 Now I just have to airgap and balance the arm Here's a pic of my vette, I lowered the front but still have to lower the rear but I'm waiting for my wheels and tires to show up before I do that.

Ok Village idiot moment... I was working on my armature and accidentally turned it up on my dremel and hit about 50k RPMs... needless to say all the wire and "stuff" went everywhere... Looks like I need to find another motor... UGH.. I hate my mechanic.
