Gentlemen... auh, and Ladies... (Forgot John B's wife who he has standing in for Ashley Force/Hood.) Over the last few days I've had four packages of cars arrive at WDWAHO for the big show. When I came home from work today my mailbox was empty! First thought was "Oh no, there's going to be a lot of No Shows! Then I went in the house to find a US Post Office mail tote with ten more boxes that arrived today. I've got my work cut out getting them unpacked and logged with your warm up instructions and making sure I keep everything straight to return mail them to you next week. I'm sure there will be more tomorrow and it looks like there's a race going on! Excuse me while I get more unpacked. I will post the names of the arrivals shortly... I hope.

The Boss! Hey that's funny because that's what they call me here. Kind of joke that we have going on here. It came about from my Mustang that says "The Boss" on it ;D

A big thank you to everyone of you guys who worked so hard to ship your entry well packed. 40 cars here and about 40 different methods were used to do it make me much more knowledgeable of better shipping methods. After opening and re mailing all the Test N Tune cars and now opening the larger group for the race, I have some suggestions that I wanted to pass on while they are fresh in my mind. One pair of entries arrived today in one cardboard postal box inside two of the original Aurora clear plastic boxes. The Aurora boxes work great except that he forgot to tape the two plastic box half's together and the two cars were sloshing around in the cardboard box with the loose tops and bottoms to the aurora boxes. There was only crumpled newspaper for filler. I don't think it did any damage to either car, but it couldn't have been good for them. They seem fine but I don't want to run anyones car until qualifying starts and if any need a "slight" adjustment, we will do it. If it's major, we will give it a short try but we're going to be pretty busy getting everything done fairly for all and that's a goal that the WDWAHO gang is taking very seriously. The original Aurora small clear plastic boxes with thin foam on top and bottom work extremely well as long as you remember to put some tape to hold the top and bottom together. I will be using them in the future myself. Please NEVER EVER use popcorn packing stuff. (Sam and Tim, I apologize profusely for shipping my cars to your races with the stuff. Won't happen again.) That #$%@ is hard to handle and if it gets a static charge on it, the chances of an easy clean up is over! (Hey, I didn't know either!) The bubble wrap stuff works great! Very small boxes work great when someone is unwrapping and wrapping many, many cars. It also takes more clear tape to pack large boxes and probably costs more to ship the bigger box. Don't forget to put the number assigned on your car where it can be read. Rick Voeglin sure helped with putting his numbers on the trunk lids. I've used a standard white mailing label on some of my cars where I write the number in black ink very small on the label and then cut it out with sizzors and use a toothpick to place it on the back window before I press it down. Works really well and doesn't take away from the Drag Racing appearance of the car much as most of our pictures are taken from the front quarter view. Just an idea. Also don't forget to put your name plus your nickname, email name or what ever along with the car name, make and year on a piece of paper with the car number and warm up instructions. It also helps if you mark down the amount of money you've sent on the same sheet. Easier to track. Makes life a lot easier on the track guys and helps to eliminate shipping and racing errors. If you didn't get one or all of the above ideas right, don't worry about it. We'll 'get er dun an still have fun". These are just suggestions to make things easier on all concerned. If I sound crabby , I'm not. Just trying to help with future races... Thanks guys. ;D

I let the lady at the UPS store wrap it, and she said "no matter what Phil says, I'm using peanuts!"

OK guys, I tried. It's 11:35 PM ET and I'm over half way done re-packing your cars for the return mailing. But I'm going to finish tomorrow night and mail on Wednesday. After the second time of taping up a box and putting the mailing label on without the cars inside I've decided you would perfer that I get it right. They will return soon!
(No John, that's not what happened to your Test N Tune cars. Only had about 12 cars for that one.)

All Super Stock Springnationals entries have been packed for mailing tomorrow. (Including the charred remains of Sam's formerly beautiful Sandy Elliot Mustang. The Demon did it Sam.)
