Yeah, my 325's came from the factory with dual four barrels solid lifter cams and were rated at 310hp in 1957. A couple of years back dad sold a complete 354 FirePower hemi. I don't know exactly what the car was that the buyer was restoring, but that was the engine that he needed. Dad is taking a bunch of stuff over to the Mopar Nats in a couple of weeks. One of the things that he's taking is a 413 max wedge. I wouldn't mind having a half dozen of those!

As the race draws near......Good title for the soap opera about to happen...will Barney's extra security(two bullets) be enough to counter the Ohio Mafia plans , will Pshyco an Demon use the chainsaw to make opponites cars into Altereds thus will have the only Gassers in the field, will the Big Ragu's special crawdad an shrimp sauce cause the florida group to eat pasta till they sleep at the tree, and will the invisable fence be enough to keep K-dog out of the winners circle...... tune in....

Get those cars loaded on the trailers!! (or go to the post office and mail em. ) The race is at last upon us. Prizes have been listed but as a reminder: Participant stickers for all, (woo hoo), box inserts for the clear plastic T Jet style boxes- they make a nice display which notates this race specifically. Mini screwdriver/wrench sets from Harbor Freight Salvage. Autographed pics as mentioned above, courtesy of TSS hobbies. A MAGNETOMETER from General Racing Dynamics. Due to the Summer scheduling, turnout may just possibly be light so your chances of winning worhtwhile prizes are increased. Remember classes B and C get nearly the same prize outlay as Class A, and runner ups are not left out either. Finalisits in all classes will be recorded in the Permanent record, any record performances duly noted, and best appearing Cars as well as any possible nominees to our Hall of Fame will be recognized. Kinda cool.
K Dog has the track in fine tune for this race and we look forward to close and avid competition. I hope we get plenty of pics of the FACILITY as well as the Gassers to ogle. You guys continue to impress with the cars you turn out in this very challenging scale! A well done but simple car with the proper GASSER 'feel' can win best appearing car as easily as a 'pro finished' car.
BY all means get your cars here, whether you think they are the cream of class A, or 'in the pack' in class C or lower. The fun is in the competition and camaraderie. If ya feel like you can't compete with the "big guys' then compete against yourself as compared to last years effort. Classes are determined by elapsed time groups so more racres are in the hunt. The ever presetn human factor is part of the fun too. Your driver may cut his best light ever, or------------he may try to 'squeeze the tree' against a quicker car!
The Slot Cars Inc surface promises to be fast and quick and we promise pics of everybody in action. I'll be notating the "engines" used by entrants that have so desdignated and we will keep tabs on a Manufacturers points race for the season.

you have the Ideal Slotman55,I'm in the same boat,no track just a homemade power supply, and I haven't finnished better than 20th yet,but hope springs eternal and all the stuff.the best part is the SMAK,the which manufacture is better(even though there all T-jets of some type) an seeing all the great cars modeled by talented craftsmen, and trying to improve for the next event. even though sometimes the SMAK TALCK gets hot , Every one of the guys will drop everything to give advice(watch Pshyco ,he sometimes drops his chainsaw while it is still running)

I have been around slotcars most of my life and i have learned more about HO'S from this sight then any where else i've seen or done. I am most impressed with the quality looking cars as good or better than most 1/24s,to bad we can't all get togather and race and party.Well thats enough of the gushy stuff time to start getting a race face on see you at the light.
