GASSERS really get my drag race juices flowing. I am very much looking forward to the having the cars on the race surface from Slot Cars inc. This event already has the feel of being our biggest event----------certainly the biggest field of gassers methinks.
BTW they sell all sorts of lengths etc. I plan to buy an 1/8 mile strip (or less) and expand it with add ons to a full 1/4 mile with shutdowns. It is one option for spreading the cost over time without paying the evil credit card companies interest!

This stuf is from the SS Nationals, but applies directly to the upcoming GasserNAtionals. These prizes for the SS Nats were mailed out and received by class winners. First, SS/C class winner TYLER ABBOTT had his choice from a group of several Gasser bodies, and opted for the 1966 Supercharged NOVA "Elephant Hunter." (Team Mopar be forewarned!)  Included was a "Gasser Kit" which included a pair of JL magnets, 3 ADDITIONAL Mean Green arms, Silver brushes,. Extra JL pick ups and a few other goodies, plus a complete original Tuff Ones chassis. A good start in preparing for the GasserNationals  SS/Winner Rick Voegelin received a similar package but chose the Big John Mazmanian Willys and got an extra stripped body as well.   Similar goodies will be among the prizes offerred at the 2009 GasserNationals. |

SLOT CARS INC.
Is giving away a set up block to every racer that enters, these are very cool. Little sections of their Drag Strip, that you can use to set up your car, the Dog has 2 already and loves them. If you send your car in for Test and Tune you will get one back so you can use it to tweek your car. Also SCI is giving all racers 25% off their products, untill the race has been run, very generious. Looks like another COOL event !
And remember this is the track we will be racing on, so this is a great tool to build a winning car !

A little off topic but this reminded me of a song I once heard.... You momma Drives a 1967 Cadillac El Dorado, hot-pink, with whaleskin hubcaps and all-leather cow interior and big brown baby seal eyes for headlights... yeah! And she gonna drive around in that baby doing 115 miles an hour, getting 1 mile per gallon, suckin' down quarter pound cheeseburgers from McDonald's in the old-fashioned non-biodegradable styrofoam containers... yeah! And when she's done suckin' down those greaseball burgers she's gonna toss the styrofoam containers right out the side, and there ain't anything anybody can do about it. You know why? Just useing Fiat's and Opal's for an example you guys can branch out.
Just for the heck of it I did a search for a Pro Mod K Car....HA there wern't any..... A nice prize goes to anyone for a photo of a K Car dragster !
