This is definitely the place to hang out if you like HO drag racing! The quality of the cars here just gets better and better.
The '57 Chevy is sweet. Much better looking and more realistic proportions than the JL version. Looks like it's on a T-jet style chassis -- how about some more information?
Cheers, Rick V.

Hey Rick, The black Chevy is a Tyco body running a 4-gear chassis.
Cheers Dave.

OK, now I've got it! The gear clip I could see through the side window threw me off -- I thought it was standard T-jet wheelbase. The Tyco '57s look pretty nice, although I've seen some examples with exaggerated front wheel openings (like the Tyco second-generation Camaro that I'm trying to make into an MM/PS body). Were the chrome bumpers/grille stock or did you Alcad them? Most of 'em I've seen are painted silver.
Thanks, Rick V.

COOL STUFF !
I'm intrested in the paint you used on the Vett Chasis. Nylon can be tuff to get paint to stick to, what did you use. By the way it looks cool.

Thanks for the comments guys. Rick, I look out for the Tyco bodies with the smaller wheel arches. The Tyco Chevy's were produced with big and small wheel arches. Same with the 1940 Coupe bodies. If you are lucky you can find the Chevy's with small arches and chrome bumpers. That is what I have used. SKR, I have admired your work for a long time. You do some of the best car out there in my opinion! RM thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Kdog the Corvette chassis is dyed red. Cheers Dave.

Hi im a noobie here, i have a question Mr KIWIDAVE,
i have a tyco 57 chev on a 4gear, i was wondering what make/size wheels and tyres you have on the back there?
the 4gear speciality rims/tyres fill up the wheel arches more than i would like, if i go smaller then the belly scrapes!
you dont seem to have cut the arches bigger... maybe its an illusion? lol
any tips or info would be great coz it a nice job ya did there as are the rest of your rods' simply amazing stuff!
