I'm trying to after all there are stock classes and who doesn't want to run just to see where they stand. The really fast stuff isn't being run because they're trying to have more participation among newbies and perhaps even some body who just found his cars blows off the dust and tries them out. Hopefully grow the hobby, it's a fun time, I just hate that dang light. I don't know if it's better to sleep a light or to red light...sleep I still have a slim chance of winning if I have the faster car and sleep.

Somebody needs to twist Ninja's arm to get him to race Sam Uncle ! ! . . . Uncle ! ! ! OK, I'll race. Anyone know which classes race first? I will not be arriving until noon. Wouldn't want to register and be a no-show.

Normally time trials are first then they decide the order of the classes to run, the only bad thing is if you come late they may squeeze you in but you'll be running the top qualifer.

Oh, one other thing there tends to be a driver's meeting around 10:30 am to clear up any questions a driver may have.

hello everybody. I am alpink. I am a race director for the event. in future I will be availablefor questions regarding events. we run our classes straight through from first round to final so that those who might have to leave early can compete to conclusion and those who might arrive late still have classes that haven't qualified yet. we qualify just previous to the actual eliminations for the above reasons. I appreciate all the promotion and help various racers have been offering and I really appreciate Sam reaching out with the offer of the prizes. all my racers are always very appretiative of prizes. we will be racing the doorslammer class early along with the 4G/PS to accomadate a good friend who will have to leave early. all other classes are usually run in the order on the list. but, this time we will be taking suggestions from our racers about the running order. speaking for Hank, the track owner/operator, I want to invite all that can attend to try out the racing early. once the track is closed for the racers meeting, no other practice will be allowed and only exceptions will be made by Hank, Scott or myself for a racer that might have to rebuild a car during qulifying or eliminations. we are about having fun, but we must have some structure to keep racing from running into the early AM hours. shame on me, I had forgotten about registering for this site about a year ago and I haven't used it. it was only by chance of someone mentioning it to me that lead me here now. I won't be neglecting this site again. I will be checking daily to answer any questions and take suggestions for future events. the plan for this event is to run it according to the structure we have announced, which I think was the opening post of this thread, and have an in depth discussion at the end of the event on how to better serve the MAJORITY of racers that want to attend future events. we do not have a club per se and that is just the way it is. this is Hanks track, Hanks venue and he has final say in any question involving how the races are run. again, we are about having fun and try to keep it that way for everyone. I see some folks posting here that already know me, so I take this opportunity to greet them all without having to post each ID. I look forward to seeing everyone who can attend and enjoying a fun day of drag racing with each. I will try to record some of the event, but I will be busy most of the day running the actual qualifying and eliminations, leaving little time to take pictures or hobnob. all suggestions are always welcome and will be given equal consideration for FUTURE events. thank you in advance for your kind consideration. alpink

Tomorrow is the big day. If you live in the area and want to check out what HO Drag Racing is all about.... this race would be a good one to attend.

Hank, Al all the reacers of ECHO as well as myself would like to thank all of the those who came out. It was a fun time and Sam your support was very much appreciated and your bodies are awesome. I enjoyed seeing and meeting some new faces/racers, the future of drag racing in our area looks promising, I didn't count but I imagine there was a total of 15- 20 people which is nothing to sneeze at. Hopefully it will continue to grow It was especially good to see Ninjatek, Eddie, Mac and Moby all of which who post here, forgivr if I forgot anybody. Al said he would post race results once he gets them typed up, Ninjatek took plenty of pics which I know he'll be posting soon. Thanks again to allof those who supported the event.

Could not have done any of this without Hank Galloway, providing the track, timing system, power supply, venue (Blue Comets Motorcycle club [of which Hank is an illustrious member]) and Scott Dunlap who supports every type and sanction of H.O. racing in a very wide area. And of course little old humble me for pissing everyone off at least once and providing some thought provoking door prizes and witty commentary throughout the event.
