Great job Falcon for your first outing. This Gasser class has always been pretty close for the top runners and is one that our local guys enjoy running for you guys.

I can see the headline in National DRAGSTER now: "Blind Squirrel Finds Acorn, RV Racing Wins Gasser Race!" I guess that's why they run the race instead of just awarding the Wallys after qualifying. Well, whoever was driving my car gets a case of beer of his/her choice . . . Jeg Coughlin Jr. better watch his back, because with RT's like that, my driver is gonna be in the Big Show soon! So I'm sitting here in a media center in Sebring, Fla., following a race taking place in Colorado Springs with cars that I sent on Wednesday from California. Did I mention that the wheelie bars on my Gasser and Rat Rod were built by a Demon in Florida? Is this a great hobby, or what? Thanks to Sam, Kim, and the subterranean denizens of Psycho Slots Dragway for a great three-day event. OK, racers, time to start getting ready for the next NTRA race on the calendar, the Manufacturers Funny Car Championship at Lions Drag Strip. Details to be announced shortly. BE THERE! All the best, Rick V. Great race! Rick trees Demon with a .0123 to Demons .0270 and Rick also runs his best ET of the day with a .5386 @ 25.83 mph to Demons slowing .5405!? Rick wins Gasser by a .0166 win margin. Congratulations Rick!! You didn't have the quickest car of the event but it was good enough for a win. |

I'd like to thank Bondoman, Hairy Canary, Kdog and Falcon for putting up the prizes and hard ware. Everyone that won an event including Viewers choice will receive a very cool wall plaque. I'll be drawing one name here shortly to see who wins this beautiful car made by Kdog and also a drawing for one door prize for those that did vote for the best appearing cars. Also a thank you goes out to Hilltop for the help with the Grandstands.   All cars will be shipped within a week. I'll let you all know when I send them out. I did some work and took pictures of the modifications I did on a few Door Slammers that needed a little help after qualifying. I'll post those within the week on what I did to make them run a little better. I hope that it will be helpful for anyone wanting some tips in this class. Thanks again for racing with us, I'm looking forward to Rick's event. |

This was as much fun as the real thing! The only part missing was sitting around the campfire drinking beer at 2 in the morning.  Thanks to SAM and his crew at the track you did a fantastic job.
