I have a couple of Butch's Malibu bodies, they are nice. Only things I don't like about it are that the bodies are a little on the heavy side, they are cast with a one piece mold (not a two which means they are a little thicker), and the wheelwells aren't quite 'right' since they are actually cast as a oval track stock car body (or at least the ones I have are). Actually, that can be fixed with a minimum amount of work. But, they are nice other than those things. I am still trying to find the time to finish the Malibu I'm working on to fit a 4 gear chassis. Been working on it for a while now, but it keeps ending up on the 'back burner'! When I DO finish it, I am gonna cast it tho. Ron (Bondo)

I just found in one of my boxes a die-cast 81 malibu and think I am going to send it to hairycanary and see what he can do because after recieving his 10 camaro and 69 camaro I am sure after seeing that workmanship he can ccome up with something.

Most of the body's are cast for the 4 gear because the master's die cast used require little or no alteration to fit the 4 gear chassis wheel base. It is difficult to find a die cast that fits a t-jet or AFX because the wheel base is so short. In the train modeling world tjets are considered 1/72 scale. Not many diecast out there in this scale. AFX are closer to 1/64 scale.

Nosub is correct on the bodies and why most are for 4 gears. I do have some I cast to fit a Tjet, but only a few. I can cast a '63 Pontiac Tempest altered wheelbase, a 65 Malibu wagon (stock), a 42 Jeep (drag..definitely different!) and a 2012 Camaro (I also have a different 2012 Camaro drag body almost ready that is based on an afx body). I am working on a few more, but those are all I can cast for Tjets as of right now. I can also cast a (Ford) GT40 ProMod body and a '92 Camaro ProStock that fits a SuperG chassis. And I'm pretty sure Rick (HairyCanary) has a few to fit Tjets as well, but I can't say for sure. Ron (Bondo)
