I have actually had really good luck using Testors Model Master gloss clear coat , item #2936. So far it hasn't destroyed any decals or krinkled any paint under it. The Model Master clear doesn't get yellow looking either. I have used it on h/o bodies as well as 1/32 and 1/24. Just my opinion.
