After reading through the NTRA Quarterly , I see the Dragster class on the last page. Looks really cool , except for knowing where to get any bodies from. Does anybody know if bodies are available from somewhere?? Would like to build one of these dragsters , unless I have to wait for the Autoworld versions to be available. Thanks for any help.

I have a couple dragster bodies that are almost done. I can expedite those and post some pictures if anyone is interested. My work schedule has been very heavy lately so it will be a week or two before they're done. I also cast the dragster extension from Aurora. I will test fit it on the AW chassis. There is the potential for a lot of different designs and weights. I have no real knowledge of the 1-1 history of these cars but should there be an length or weight requirements? My work schedule has been very heavy lately so it will be a week or two before they're done. I also cast the dragster extension from Aurora. I will test fit it on the AW chassis. There is the potential for a lot of different designs and weights. I have no real knowledge of the 1-1 history of these cars but should there be an length or weight requirements? Early versions of slingshot dragsters measured at or just over 200". Through the years and as technology of building tube chassis evolved, it was determined that the longer the chassis the better the handling was at high speeds. Which brings us to today's Top Fuel chassis which range from 300" to 480". Bringing those numbers to scale, that would put lengths between 4.6875" to 7.5" for 1/64 scale. Rounding those numbers to the next highest 1/8th would be 4 3/4" to 7 1/2". Length was intentionally omitted from the rules because it was not known who was making dragster bodies or what their dimensions are. Actually, the rules are primarily directed to the chassis build and a minimum weight. Body rules were left vague to encourage entry of all type of dragster configurations and to flush out information of available bodies. In addition to Eagleracing, we now know that customho also has available some dragster bodies. I have received word from Hairy Canary that he has in mind and plan to soon make a dragster body for the 4 Gear chassis. The minimum weight currently is set at 27 grams. This may change as more dragster bodies become available. At the time the rules were made length was not in question. The above calculated lengths apply to top fuel class. I would say that based on the type dragster body being made that the caster/maker of the body research to determine which length is most accurate for the configuration being made. As the rules allow any rail configuration, can simplify length rule to cannot exceed 7 1/2". Just as a guide and take it a step further, Top Fuel mid-engine dragsters min length 4 1/2"; all other configurations not to exceed 4 3/4". As dragster classes develop specific lengths would apply to a particular class. Below is a quick glance chart for the proposed 4Gear dragster. Base on some research which is summarized above, some amendments have been added since previously released.

Any body that wants a sling shot dragster just send me a personal message. My unfinished version is primered. I would really like to see these take off. For you racers that want to run the faster stuff I make a Top Fuel rear engine one also. Those fit the Super G+. You can grind the cast mount and fit a Wizard or Tyco just about anything. I also make the sling shot to fit the Mega G short or long chassis.

I'd like to see them all! This sounds like fun! What would be neat is a sling shot dragster that fits a T Jet chassis or a Slim line with 4 gear rear wheels and foam tires....... I'm up for building one, whether it be a slingshot, rear engine, with a 4 gear or Tjet chassis.

Just look at the NTRA summer quarterly the water mark car is a pic of the Black Magic sling shot dragster for the 4 Gear chassis. You can see a few more on our web page. Just type in Eagle Racing in your browser. You can also see our Top Fuel Copart version in the painters corner on the Nitro Slot pages.

Here is a modern Nostalgia Top Fuel Dragster I started a couple three years ago. It is in a rough stage but you can get an idea of what it will look like. Need the to do a lot more forming sanding and filling before it's ready to cast. I was trying to make look like the old car I was driving a few years back. I' am also working on some rear engine cars too. Rick

Here Are a couple I have been trying to get done. The Camaro is a streched AFX and the Top fuel is something I found in the back of the shop. The Top fuel will fit a Super G+ and a four gear. The Camaro is set up for a four gear. Just need silicone to mold.

I am putting the finishing touchs on two more rail dragster bodies. One will be for the 4 Gear and it can be cast for a Super G+/BSRT G3 also. It is an up date of an older mold. The other one is for the Super G+/BSRT G3 only. It is a completely new casting. No pics until I paint and decal these. I don't like to show um in there underwear.
