Racers, It's time to load up the haulers and head to Lions Drag Strip for the season-ending NTRA Finals on November 5-6. Hit the road early – all entries must be received by Friday, November 4!Checklist for entrants: 1. Include $7 entry fee for up to four cars for return postage via Priority Mail flat rate small box with delivery confirmation. Include additional postage if you send a larger box, want insurance, or special handling. Lions management strongly recommends that you insure your package both ways in case the shipment goes missing. 2. Include your screen name, real name, and return address. 3. Mark entry numbers clearly on every chassis. 4. Include special pre-race instructions (we will clean tires and pickups). 5. Review the rules for Stock Eliminator at: www.nitroslots.com/index.cgi?board=scl&action=display&thread=1626. Ratt Rod rules are posted here: www.nitroslots.com/index.cgi?board=scl&action=display&thread=1581. Make sure your cars are legal – the ace Lions tech crew is a hard-nosed bunch, and cars that don't meet the rules will not race. All entries will have a pre-race visual inspection and are subject to teardown at the discretion of the racemaster. 6. Send your entries to: Rick Voegelin 2130 Hames Rd. Aptos, CA 95003 The intrepid Lions Drag Strip reporting team – Aurora Divine, Ted Tappet, and John Thunderlungs – is standing by. Thanks, Rick V.

The LSR hauler left the shop a few hours ago, altho I don't think they'll actually be 'on the road' 'til tomorrow. The boys here at the shop have ALL been working overtime this week to get these cars tuned, as well as building another car for an 'outlaw' run out on the east coast (more on that later). So, I think the drivers (Guido and Jose..lol) are gonna get some sleep at a motel somewhere on the edge of town. Not to mention all the guys in the body shop working on new bodies, and some VERY cool paint jobs as well! Hopefully, I can get some pics of all of that this week. Got a day or two to 'rest', but then gotta get back to that 'outlaw' car! ;D My match race car (Doorslammer) actually was built to run at a lot higher voltage (26v), so 22 isn't a prob. I'm sure it's gonna be a little slower than it has been tho. No biggie, as long as my opponent is on the same voltage. Might be good to know how it runs at lower power anyway. ;D Ron (Bondo)

Awesome looking car Rick. So, that's what you can do in two days, plus tune you car. I've been beating on my cars a little over two weeks. Dosen't look as good and have no idea how they will perform. Anyway, RickV. My cars will be on the way in the morning. Expect them to arrive by Thursday.

Cars left out this morning, minus one rat rod. The body got so screwed up that it wouldn't even have passed for a rat. They're supposed to be there Thursday, but we all know how that goes.

A busy day for Phyliis the Mail Lady, with arrivals from Ninjatek, Bondoman2K, Wood, Bluegnuoy, 440gtx, and Hairy Canary. The line is getting long at the Lions Drag Strip pit gate.
Aurora Divine is getting really excited. You can tell.
Cheers, Racemaster Rick
