Thought to rewind was changing wind pattern for east/west vs. north south brushes. The tiny brushes in stock bulkhead get ate up fast. Real real fast with 0.6 ohm rewind (30g). So idea of being able to change/replace brushes is the only way to go if this arm is ever going to be usable. Wonder if I could wet-com it with the tubes ? Oh I'm definatly doing this. Have you checked the difference in strength between the LL mags and the ones used for the other arm you tested (p3 was it) ? If the LL are neo, the mags might be to much for a smaller 6.0 ohm arm. 3.0 ohmer might be better with the LL mags. Just thinking......... ............... PC

For the high voltage stuff i use neo motor mags, The p3 noe's are stronger than the LL mags but the LL mags are way stronger than almost any other mag (except neo's), so wether or not they are neo's or not I don't know. Don't have a gauss meter but I just test all mags by how much metal they will lift of the table top.

Put them in backwards, ring on barrel gave perfect spacing. Just did fitting today, still have to remove, drill out backend now front, close front now back and wire. What's left is cake. The second or inside wall (used to hang & locate brushes), yields a very stable tube. Maybe more so than factory cars using brush tubes. No wobble in tubes at all, very rigid. Loving the possibilities...................PC........and sending PM

By the way pceng, do you still have a need or use of those 12 LL arms?

One of the major problems I'm having with high voltage racing is the potholes created by wheel spin at the start line along with the occasional car getting welded to the rails... So, I'm going to attempt to create an all concrete 1/8 mile strip. Going to use 1/2" steel banding tape as the rails which should hold more Amps and added traction. Should be fun Watch the progress on FB under "Top Voltage HO Drag Racing"

Been gone for awhile, but the concrete track was a bust... Going back to the old track.

That was a heck of an idea. Hope your back to stay... I like the ideas you got going on... recently rigged up some wheelie bars like you had on a 4gear. Definitely seemed to work... I ran braided shoes and the wheelie bar.

Forgot to mention a few things, along with the concrete track, also giving up on the LL can platform, high voltage (sticking to 20-26v) but no traction magnets. Neo's at lower voltage hmmm should be fun. Having a hard time with the SD2's sensor system but slowly dialing it in. PS don't have FB anymore either
