A bit of the beaten path here. I have been in the lab looking at all my beautiful diecasts and thought, these would look great on top of a Super G+ or Tyco. Problem is to long of a wheel base. Any body have pics or ideas of diecast conversions to a G+ or Tyco? Yea I know weight is an issue. But with all the high power motors and magnets out there for inline cars they still will be pretty quick.

Hey nosub, I think you only have two choices if you wanna stay with those chassis. One, and probly easiest, is to use a 'divorced axle' in the front. That would be to mount the front wheels to the body itself with a tube or something along those lines. Provided there's enuff room that the axle won't interfere with the pickup shoes. Other option is to modify the bodies length. Of course this is a lot more work, and will destroy that nice paintwork, then you'd need to repaint them. You'd need to cut the bodies with a Dremel or a hacksaw, and glue them back together with JB Weld, then you gotta smooth and fill the spots you glued together. LOTS of work but it is doable. Most diecast bodies WILL fit on a 4 gear chassis with very little work. BUT, you wanna stay with the inline chassis, so we won't go there! ;D Ron (Bondo)

Oh, one more thing. If you have any track 'marshalls', be sure to let them know NOT to be in the way if those cars come off the track..lol. Those things can 'put an eye out!' LOL! ;D Ron (Bondo)

These are diecast bodies with the front axle left in the original plastic HW chassis. You will need to narrow the front wheels to accomodate the pickup shoes though.

Not so worried about people's eyes, think lower down on the body.. Diecast body cars still really haul a$$, and if they get outta shape on a pass it can be quite spectacular

I REALLY like that Chevelle! Nice motor in the rail too! Nice job all the way around! That Chevelle would make a great doorslammer if it was cast in resin.

Hey Tom, I actually cast a resin 69 Chevelle for a Doorslammer! Reworked the original mold I had, and am in the middle of pouring the first part of the mold for the new version right now. Hopefully, I should be able to pop a few bodies out by later this weekend. ;D I'll try to get pics up asap of the one I already have painted and cleared. And, I do agree I think we should consider 'adopting' a diecast class. Not this year of course, but poissibly next year. Ron (Bondo)
