lol hardly, I'm still plugging away at these bars though. I've bent up the bottom rails for all 100 bars and soldiered x braces on about 25 of them. I've got some photo work lined up at the gatornats tomorrow so I will be heading up there hopefully for the whole weekend.

Jason, be SURE to get some GREAT pics! (from what I've seen though, ALL your pics are GREAT!) If they're running the Pro Mods, be sure to get a BUNCH of those!  ;D (I need some 'good' pics of the hoods on the turbo cars...lol) Ron (Bondo)  |

I dont have trackside access Bondo because I'm shooting for a team not a publisher. But I'll trek out into the promod pits to grab some hood photos for you!

Nice pic Jason! Interesting, I can tell there's a turbo in there by the twin pipes in the fenders, but the hood itself doesn't have any openings!  Guess those turbos are either getting smaller, or they're getting REAL good at 'hiding' them! ;D Ron (Bondo) |

NHRA rules must not allow forward facing turbos because none of the cars that I saw in the pits had openings for them. I have pit pictures for you too. But I dont have a home internet connection though so I gotta up them at work tomorrow. This as well as most of my other posts are from my phone.

I thought they did allow it Jason. Jeg Coughlin's Camaro has big holes in it, and so does Roger Burgess' cars (R2B2 Racing, himself in the 68 Firebird, and Leah Pruett in a 2011 Mustang). Or, I may be mistaken and they may be 'fake' holes, but either way, those cars at least have 'bubbles' to indicate something is under the hood! ;D Still, can't wait to see all the other pics buddy! Ron, if you look just below the bumper there's an opening on either side of the lower grill, I think those are the inlets for the turbos. There just not as pronounced on that car as some others.
I haven't looked at the rules, but you know how picky the NHRA is about stuff. How long did it take before they even started running the Pro Mods as an exhibition class, let alone making it a regular class, (that only runs at certian events).
One other thing about that car, did you notice where the drivers name, competition number and class desigination are at on it ? They're on the roof rather then the windows, thats kinda different too.

Any updates on the wheelie bars? GREAT pictures !!!! I will be at the Boise Firebird Igniter in May and hope to get some pics of the N/FC cars !

Hey I didnt forget about you guys. I had to pick up a second job to take care of a few things so my life has pretty much been rotating around working. I pretty much get up in the morning heado to work at 8 get off at six run home grab some dinner then head to the second gig till 11. I get home I'm too spent to work on anything. The two guys that have already paid me for wheelie bars will have thiers sent out friday I hope. Everybody else I'm gonna have to say sorry but I dont think I'll be able to get them done any time soon. What I think I will do though is make one set for every entry at the spring nationals. So if you entered you will get at least one set.

Sorry I didnt mean to confuse you. What I was trying to say is that I probably wont be able to get them done soon enough so you all can have them mounted and testing on your cars in time for the springnationals. If you entered in the spring nats you will have one free set in your box when your cars arrive back home. |
