That's a good question I assumed we couldn't because the rules state the that the body must mount as supplied from the factory.

I guess I'm going to use a AW car myself. But can we shave the wheel hubs to tuck them under the body,without slamming the body?

If your using an Aurora chassis you need to use a body that came with that series of car i/e one of the Vega Funny cars, Dragster, VW Thing,etc, even a Peace Tank.
If you use the A/W chassis it needs to be an A/W body,i/e Pro Stock, T/F dragster,Scooby Doo etc. Heck the last time it was run, the Batmobile won!
As far as mods, you can change the rear tires, change the paint, and "mildly" radius the rear wheel wells thats it. The wheels have to stay stock, width and all, (you can paint them if you want).

Wow race just ended and I'm looking forward to Mays event. Lots of questions need answering. Will we have a choice of voltage for testing, or will it be set?

We will set the voltage to what ever value you would like. Just make sure you include it in with the car.

Pceng,I'm sending a MM/PS chassis for testing myself.Using a 7/23 gear set up and .448 rear tires. Just my own combo to try,so if you send your MM/PS for testing then why not a friendly little match race. You pick the voltage,also FYI amps is what makes the cars fly.  |

Hey Phantom, I'm up for one ........ err ........ 2 out of 3, MM/PS rules? Was hoping to run same voltage we just did to get a better comparison of gear/tire change. Have rear ends made up, just need cars ....... lol. Hoping to get traction magnets on FED lowered in time to send off. Was thinking of doing it before race but at 22v it stayed on track, just had to see what happened.

Since the Open Track Event needed to move to the 18th decided to get some more time on the track this weekend , Cleaning crew is hard at work scraping off the old rubber and yes Mater will be the operating tow vehicle. He is now being outfitted with a 4 gear chassis! Alan @ MGDS   |
